So, if you've never played it, Cards Against Humanity is sort of like Apples to Apples with swearing. It's much more fun than it sounds. And the best website to use for playing it online with friends, Pretend You're Xyzzy, allows the creation of custom decks through the website Cardcast. From the GitHub page for the site:

Code:
TL;DR

http://www.cardcastgame.com/

http://www.cardcastgame.com/browse

5CODE is the "Play Code" on the deck's page, or at the bottom right of its overview card.

/addcardcast 5CODE

/removecardcast 5CODE

/listcardcast
Temporary hacky way of adding decks to the game.

Right now, the only way to add or remove Cardcast decks is via chat commands. The client UI needs a fairly significant overhaul to properly support these externally loaded decks.

To add a Cardcast deck to a game, the game host must type /addcardcast 5CODE, where 5CODE is the 5 character code for the deck. A notice is broadcast to every player in the game.

To remove a Cardcast deck from a game, the game host must type /removecardcast 5CODE. A notice is broadcast to every player in the game.

To see which Cardcast decks are in use for a game, anyone may type /listcardcast.

The Cardcast decks currently in use for a game is displayed in the game's chat when a player joins the game.

There is currently no way to see which, if any, Cardcast decks a game is using from the game list.

That's where you guys come in. I want help in trying to create an Ace Attorney-inspired deck for use in Pretend You're Xyzzy. Come up with ideas for call cards (black cards, which have blanks that you fill in) and response cards (white cards, which fill in the blanks the black cards give), and I'll add them to the deck. Make sure you add WHITE: or BLACK: in front of whichever one it is. Keep in mind that I do have the right to change the way a submission is worded so it sounds better as a card. Here are Cardcast's guidelines for writing cards:

Quote:
Part of the fun of Cardcast is combining several decks for a unique game. Following these guidelines will help your custom deck blend with other existing decks.

Placeholders
An underscore (_) indicates where a response fits into a call. Use up to three.
Good: I always say _ makes a great gift.
Good: _ is the best thing about _.
Good: What makes a great gift? _
Bad: What makes a great gift?
Capitalization
Calls: Write as sentences using proper punctuation and capitalization.
Good: The latest Californian fad is _.
Bad: the latest Californian fad is _.
Bad: The latest californian fad is _
Responses: Only capitalize proper nouns and generally exclude punctuation.
Good: yoga classes with Batman
Bad: yoga classes with Batman.
Bad: Yoga classes with Batman
Phrasing
Call and response phrasing must match. Ideally, calls should prompt noun-like responses.
Bad: last night we jump up and down.
OK: last night we decided to jump up and down.
Best: last night was full of jumping up and down.

If you want to use the Ace Attorney deck in your game of CAH, type /addcardcast HZBKH into the in-game chatbox.

I could really use some more call cards, guys. I have 7 of those and 55 response cards.

I love this game and have played it many times on that website, and one of the biggest annoyances in it is wghen people submit cards that don't work with the general sentence structure. So please, when creating this gem, make sure that all the cards you make are acually playable. For instance, as funny as "Hello! Hello! *squawk*" is, it doesn't work with the required sentence structure.

It still works sometimes if it's funny enough. A card I made in a different deck was nothing but "This card is brought to you by Doritos and Mountain Dew".

...But yeah, the "Hello! Hello!" card doesn't work that well.

The difference isb that those words work with the sentence structure. "This card is brought to you by Doritos and Mountain Dew" is a sentence, because the inserted words are subjects (verbs work as well, as long as they are written in the -ing form). Compare that to "This card is brought to you by 'Hello! Hello! *squawk*'". Not so much of a sentence, and it will work even less with other black cards. That's the problem. It's the same with people who submit white cards like "He was hungry" or "crossed the street". It doesn't work in a sentence. It has to work in a sentence. ;)

Yeah, that's why I already took it out. I just have a soft spot for cards that know they're cards.

Added in "Taking a 30-foot plunge off of a burning bridge into freezing cold rapids and walking away with a bad cold" and "Throwing gravy on a wall scroll"

Sweet, I love Cards Against Humanity. Good luck on your project! Since the response cards seem pretty welled up, I have a few suggestions for the call cards.

"Anyone could have _, even me!"

"Blacker than a moonless night, hotter than hell itself... that is _."

"Okay! With this, the case should be in the _!"

"You should stop thinking based on _." And on that thought, "narrow-minded cultural assumptions" should definitely make it into the responses.

"_ again!? Just how many of those do you have, _?"

"You can see _ right here in this picture! Whooosh!"

"The judge with a _. No wonder this place feels like kindergarten sometimes..."

"I was just about to brag about _ to my grandson, but then you stole my thunder!"

"Y-you made this coffee?" "Yes... with extra _... and _..."

"N-NICK! My stomach's killing me! ...Or maybe it was the _ that I ate earlier."

"That's so cool! I wanna ride on _ and leap out of the lion's mouth!"

"Mr. Nick, I know who you are... You're Mystic Maya's special _!"

"If you say you would like to 'choose _', that is of no concern to me."

"Young people running _. I'm not too sure how I feel about that."

"The courtroom can be a cold battlefield, alright. Especially... for _."

"That screeching noise... Is that your _? I suppose it's to be expected..."

"OK, so Gavin's got trial experience, fine. But does he have _!?"

...And now I'm drained, at least for now.

Got some ideas for black/call cards:

"Who knew it was _ under that _!?"

"Are you saying _ are suspicious because they are made of _!?"

"I was trying to come up with a _ while I was _, Your Honour. I didn't."

"Falling off a _ and only ending up with a _."

That's all I've got. For now... :sassy:

Adding in "A ladder" and "A step-ladder" to the responses because I can't believe I haven't already
