1. A tip, don't need dark green shading on both sides, just on one (depending on which side the light is coming from, although I'd recommend the far side.
2. While the hair has shading from odoroki, as you've recolored it, the highlights need to be exaggerated more. Black hair often has a white sheen in the light.
3. to achieve the hair of that guy in the pic, put some spikes over the top of his ears maybe?

Perhaps add a couple of wrinkles onto the shirt. You could even copy and paste some wrinkles from another sprite and then recolour them into the shirt's shades.
