Every spite has a certain shade varience, and in my universe XD they go as such: Highlight, mid-Light, Midtone, mid-dark and Shadow. Matching up shades of red with the shades of blue on the scale can help the recoloring ^^

Another one. I don't nkpow if I did a good job or bad job. everyones gotta start somewhere..now then one way to better say what a color pallette is colors that blend easily but also noticably into one another (which is why you dont just put a really Dark red and a really light red next to eachother...usually...or two totally different colors next to eachother instantly) also outlines of a sprite as ive been told many times are not black (you didnt do that but just for future reference in case) so try complementry colors that can make it seem outlinish but not seem out of place (whitch on your edit you did on the arm it seems...too blue when it should be a dark red or even a shade of brown

Cropped from Photoshop and recoloured. I found out how I was able to get rid of the color by using BOTH Pohotshop AND paint. Just crop the sprite from Photoshop and Paste it on Paint :D

I use the baster-like icon on the color I want to recolor and then I go to Image->Adjustments->Replace Color.

well if I have to put on levels for the recoloring sprties there would be 3 levels level 0=starters, level 1=average, and level 2=Master. I would say I'm still on level 0.

But dude when i was trying to put recolored Phoenix it didn't work as I hoped it would the whiteness from it got on the defense side. O.o;

About the comic: Make sure that white is the secondary colour and you have transparency on. That's important for frankensteining, too.

Photoshop is good. Kinda ornery if you don't know how to use it, but good.They're okay. Listen to other people's criticism, and you'll be well served. And also...just out of curiosity...why do you have Photoshop? For photography? I'm an amateur (emphasis) photographer, and I have Photoshop Elements. I use it for spriting as well. But most people don't get Photoshop (SUUUPER EXPENSIVE) for no reason...
