I think Phoenix's expressions in "Contradiction" aren't exaggerated enough, and the change in panel 3 isn't dramatic or different enough to base the joke on. The use of bold/underline/a billion exclamation marks is great, but the words could have had more impact if made, say, size 72.
If you're so concerned about quality, maybe try switching to your non-dominant hand instead whilst using whatever drawing instrument you prefer most. Alternatively, use a touchpad, because it still looks like you can draw.
But mainly, in defence of my trustworthy mouse, I object!

It's kind of funny how you're criticizing "Contradiction," because it's the most popular on Tumblr. But I can see what you're coming from. I don't plan any of these; I just draw them. I actually invented the "art style" for these comics whilst drawing Contradiction in 15 or so minutes, so... yeah.

Way better than anything I can do in both MS Paint with a mouse, and Mario Paint with the SNES mouse.
