Converting to letters and shifting one message by 17 gets you WE ARE ALL MEN OF OUR WORD, and shifting the other by 9 gets you THE LONGEST NIGHT WILL HAVE AN END. |

I don't know. If I was in Uchikoski's shoes, I wouldn't be trolling the fans. I mean, there's a difference between trolling the fans about an announcement when they know a game is coming out and trolling the fans when the game's existence is still uncertain For example, if Yamazaki posted some cryptic message about GS6 on twitter and then revealed it was a joke, I wouldn't be as upset because I still know GS6 will happen eventually I just want ZE3 :( |

Anime Expo is... What, July 3rd to 5th? If so, cool, this announcement falls on my birthday. Oh god, that would be the best present ever... Anyway, so that means there's nothing left to do now besides check in every Friday for the next 2 months and 4 weeks, right? Oh hey, maybe they'll update it to become an actual site before the countdown ends? Kinda like how VLR's site was a "coming soon" for awhile, and then it just popped up one day? |

The word "ring" has been there since around April 1st, before it changed from 0301 to 0204. Unfortunately, "ring" could mean absolutely anything in isolation, though I find it's position under the second 0 to be interesting... You know, I'm starting to think that the whole thing with the word "salt" was supposed to be an April Fool's joke by Aksys that everyone took seriously. Like, they could've added "salt" to make people think it was a fighting game, due to that word's association with fighting games. I mean, why make that one vanish and leave "ring?" |

"ring" has been up since March 31, same day of Aksys' since-removed "Greek tease tweet" and Uchikoshi's also-since-removed "Caesar shift tweets". We still don't have enough information to deduce what it can mean, but I expect more by April 7, a weel after "ring" appeared, since weekly updates seems to be the norm here. |

That stream is a fighting game stream if I understand things right. Either it's just a casual mention, or this was all for a fighting game after all. That seems like it's kinda reaching, but reaching is what this fandom has run on for the last year or so. Anyway, I'll eat my shoe if this is all a tease for Phi being in Smash. I really am starting to think that this is teasing a fighting game, though. I mean, those are really Aksys' bread and butter, right? Only tangentially related note: My friend blazed through every ending in 999 besides the true ending two nights ago. He snapchatted me his reactions to each ending, and his Axe ending picture (which came in at 2 am, best time to get that ending) was just a picture of "that" moment with the caption "WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK." (This was way better than my girlfriend's "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!") If you ever get the chance to see a friend react on their playthrough, I highly recommend it. |

If this ends up just as Phi being in Smash, thats worse than a fighting game. And Uchikoshi played along :( I still cant work out what 4infinity means if its just a fighting game, seems pretty shitty IMO |

It's a huge reach for Phi to be in Smash, I think. First of all, Zero Escape is not a franchise people are clamoring for Smash Bros. It's a bad financial decision to put Phi in because a lot of non-ZE fans won't want her. Second, she has a non-existent moveset besides a big jump. Third, she's not the face of Zero Escape. If a character got in, I could see MAYBE Sigma or Junpei. Maybe even the standard gas mask Zero. But Phi? (Though, if they did decide to put ZE in Smash, it would be cool to have a Bowser Jr-esque character. Anyway, I told my friend to not go through a door with K until I could do it with him. He complied and I got to watch him get the K ending. That was pretty great (I got to see him put in the username and password for the Luna ending, too. Another great reaction) |
