Im surprised i didnt see this thread on the last forum thingy :P
So any DDR players or fans?
do you own the game? which games do you have?
whats your skill level? prefer arcade or home play?
any favorite songs? :P
EDIT:(just for extra topics to talk about :P)
anyone try stepmania for the comp? or flashflashrevolution?
DDR SuperNova pads vs. DDR Extreme pads? (the arcade ones not the play at home ones)

ill start off:
yes, i am a DDR fan AND player, lol
it caught my interest when DDRMAX came out for PS2
then i realized some of my friends also played it
and we started going to the the arcades to play :P
ive been stuck on standard level for almost 3 years Sadshoe
arcade play is definitely better, no sliding and falling to the floor on the fast songs Phoenix
i like all the extra stage songs Sal
MAX 300, MAX UNLIMITED, The Legend of MAX, Sakura, MAX 300 Super Max Me Mix
and a bunch of others

I'm a DDR player myself. My first was DDRMAX and I used to play it all the time at my house til I wore out the pads. My local amusement center removed their DDR machine and got In The Groove. I'll admit ITG doesn't have as much magic as DDR but it is WAY harder than DDR. If only they left both machines it would be heaven for me! Will Powers

I'm currently making it into Hard or Heavy mode on ITG and can only do a few songs on Hard. So I guess I'm kinda in between Medium and Hard in certain cases.

I have...MAX2 with the crappy $20 Gamestop pads. I can't do better than light mode, which probably comes from me being an unfit geek who spends his days on fansites for certain video games. Gant

I've pretty much given up lately, though, because I suck, and my pads are dying. And we have absolutely NO arcades in this town, so I can't play there, either.

I used to play fairly frequently, though not much at all lately. I first started with DDR MAX in my local mall's arcade (a 30-minute drive away, and that's with good weather and traffic). I stopped playing that one regularly, though, when people started having competitions on the machine every day, all day long, which never gave anyone aside from the "OMFG I didn't know the human body can move that way" players a chance to play.

After that, I got the home versions, the pads and such for the PS2. I kind-of grew tired of having to move my room around to make room for the pad, though, so I stopped playing altogether then.

The last time I remember playing was when I brought that set-up to school for a carnival, where the DDR booth my partner and I ran was the biggest hit the carnival had in years.... and that was two years ago, IIRC.

I got DDR when it first came out on the original Playstation here, but didn't actively play it until DDRMAX came out for the PS2.

I was pretty good at it, but I stopped playing it about two years ago. I would play the new one for PS2, but the system is busted, sadly.

The arcades are amazingly fun, though, and I still play them when I get the chance.

I just recently picked up stepmania on the keyboard. I'm not so good at dance pad, nor do I have one, so I just play keyboard. It offers some interesting steps that can't be done on a dance pad.

I'm about as good at DDR as I am at Guitar Hero... I think my extremities are retarted or something.

At least I can do Mario Mix, but that REALLY isn't saying anything.

I have DDR for Xbox - it's pretty fun! I have Ultramix4 and I recently bought the first Ultramix. I can't do anything past light though lol

Guitar Hero sounds like fun to, but I've only heard so much about it and I have no clue what system is for or where to get it. I've never seen it in any of the video game stores O_o

If they made a DDR-version of Elite Beat Agents, I'd definitly hit that XD

I started DDR about 2 or 3 years ago, and I'm still playing.

At the moment I'm playing DDR SuperNOVA CS for the PS2. I play on Maniac/Heavy/Expert and Maniac2/Oni/Challenge, and I'm working on passing the various 10s. Got Xepher Challenge rather easily, but Healing D-Vision Challenge... Meekins

I own DDRMax and another title that I've forgotten the name of. DDR Extreme maybe? I stopped playing about a year ago; the best I can play are the easier songs in standard mode. Although last Christmas I went to an Arcade with a DDR machine and I did a pretty decent job of humilating myself in public. <_<

I've been playing DDR for something like three years now, but never very consistently.

I started out on my local arcade's Extreme machine, but they have since gotten rid of it; thankfully I have a fully operational Stepmania setup.

I own one of the Cobalt Flux pads with an arcade-style mod; it is just as good as the arcade; if you can afford it, I recommend one for anyone with an interest in DDR.

I play on Heavy, with most of the nine-footers beaten, I'm working on ten-foot songs. I've passed Paranoia Survivor and Max 300.

Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2 is for the PS2 and you can find a bunch of them at Best Buy's
at least thats where i got mine, but you gotta look carefully since the box is a bit big its at the side of the gaming section usually, www.BestBuy.com should also have them on sale

i definitely agree with the DDR version of EBA though ;)
i cant find any sim files for the songs in EBA Payne

oh another topic, does anyone notice a difference between the DDR arcade pads for Extreme and SuperNova???
i find the SN pad to be a bit flatter like the pad for ITG while Extreme has the panels like below somethin (aggh cant explain it well Butz )

I've noticed that the SuperNOVA pads are much better quality (DUH) most of the time.

Seriously though-- there's a difference? =/ If there is, it's certainly not like the rather drastic difference between an Extreme machine's pads and say, an ITG2 machine's pads.

Also, I can't seem to find any DDR machines in Thailand so I've been trying to pick up Pump It Up Zero at the local popular mall. ... It's hard. Butz

Oooh, I love DDR~ I've been playing it on and off for a year and a bit now--I own SuperNOVA and Extreme2, but the only 10 I can do is Sakura, and that's not quite as hardcore as some others... D: Working on improving now, though. XD My friend and I totally failed a simple 7 song when a club brought DDR to our school, though, due to the fact that the duct tape they attempted to tape the pads to the floor with didn't really stay...

I also got fairly pro at StepMania while in China, enough to get an A on the highest level of all the regular songs at least, but never went too crazy with that. And FFR sucks due to lag, so I don't really bother with it.

In short... I love DDR more than the other rhythm games I've tried (EBA, Guitar Hero, BeatMania, though BM IS fun), and swear I will get over my skinny staminaless nerdness someday and be able to do all the teeeens yay.

I love DDR. I'm pretty good on heavy, though I haven't played for awhile. I have it for XBox, but I ended up tearing up my pad so badly I can't really play it anymore. ^^; When I try it at the movie theater I end up pounding my feet and stepping off the buttons; I'm too used to the home version.

My favorite songs include "Absolute", "Castles in the Sky", and "BreAkdown!" I love anything by BeForU/Kosaka Riyu or Captain Jack.
