I didn't think it was that confusing. But I guess my tears was mostly based on that the adventure had finally come to an end and stuff like that.

Not much, it was just supposed to show you that science has marched on. Also the parrot is Subject #1 and the rabbit Subject #3. I'd say it's pretty obvious that Beasley is the second one.

And yeah, now that I've finished the game

I cried quite a bit after the whole thing with Claire... I think I literally bawled. I was just sitting there in the dark at 3 am, crying my eyes out. I hope no one heard me, lol.

It's really weird because I NEVER cry at the end of books (I was called 'cold hearted' when I never cried at the end of My Sister's Keeper. Seriously; I didn't even come close. I was just like "...meh."

Games, on the other hand, make me cry a lot.

Two Ace Attorney games actually. Case 2 of AAI and Case 4 of JFA. I think the songs Doubted People and Steel Samurai Ballad were the main reason I cried.

Most recently, PL3. Like so many others, I guess. I was expecting a downer ending and yet I still cried bitch tears. And now whenever I see the advert for it on TV I go all emo :(

Other than that, there's too many games that make me cry. Resi: Code Veronica and The Darkness spring to mind instantly.

The ending of Metal Gear Solid 4
Spoiler:
Snake´s final days, Big Boss makes his last confessions while dying, along with the one that started all the war, Zero, with epic music in the background, and flashbacks, ¨The world only needs one Snake... No... The world would have been better without us¨ ¨It is not about changing the world, it is about doing your best to leave the world... The way it-- is¨ ¨Boss, we blindly tried to acomplish your goal, and we ended up becoming what you hated the most¨

I was very close to crying in the ending of case 1-4, but I cheered up at the credits. Same happened in case 3-5.

Well, being immersed into the game is hard for me, as I live in one of the noisiest regions of my country, and my house is just a mess.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 days and Kingdom Hearts BBS made me cry so much!

The World Ends With You... just got to me.

And there was another one, pathetic that i cannot remember but i was screaming at the screen like "NO NO NO IT CAN'T BE OVER!!!" Then i got real depressed for the next week... i'll repost when i remember but there was something about it! Whatever it was.

...It has to be Suikoden 2.

Spoiler: Suikoden Series Spoilers Within
The one-two combo of Suikoden and Suikoden 2 was just an incredible journey. So many scenes got to me in both games that it's difficult to summarize them all, but I'll include a few:
- Gremio's death in the original game. I'm a strong believer that the main character in the original Suikoden was one of the first examples of a canon homosexual lead, and imagining him in a relationship with Gremio just made that scene so much more powerful.
- The "best" ending of Suikoden, when Gremio is "revived" and he and the main character go off on another journey. It's such a simple scene, but so cathartic.

- Nanami's death scene in Suikoden 2. That entire sequence simultaneously infuriated me, depressed me, and left my jaw agape, which is precisely what great tragic storytelling can accomplish.
- The "best" ending of Suikoden 2. Just that final image of you, Nanami and Jowy looking out into the wilderness. I just sat there staring at that image and I had a very good cry. It was so much more evocative than the entire CGI ending of most RPGs, and it was just a single landscape drawing. Bravo, Konami. Bravo.

Finally, Luca Blight remains one of the most badass bosses in RPG history, and he wasn't even the final boss of Suikoden 2. I can't recommend the first two games of this series highly enough. You would have to lack a soul to not be moved by them.

Spoiler: Um, no.
Whether the Young Master McDohl was gay or not, Gremio was the last person he was romantically involved with. Though they may not have been of the same blood, the relationship between them was strictly father-son (or mother-son, depending on how you view Gremio).

Wah. I wanna play the other Professor Layton games! I've asked my sister's boyfriend about 10 times now to put it on our R4, he says he'll do it, but he's usually really tired or whatnot. Bleh.

On topic:
The ending of Professor Layton and the Curious Village made me cry. Don't ask me why. I'm soft like that.
1-4 made me kind of cry. I was like, "Nooo! Maya! Don't goooo! Phoenix needs you!" I think I was like that because I used to kinda like Nick/Maya. The only thing that didn't work for me was their age differences. Nick, an adult, Maya, a teenager.

Xenosaga, Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra was the only game that ever made me cry.

Spoiler: Massive Spoilers
I cried twice during this game... Once, at the ending, when all the main characters died. This was just the saddest thing ever. I was just so... Emotionally disturbed. Second, was at the credits for two reasons:
1. The series was over and it was my favourite RPG series ever
2. When you see KOS-MOS' body flying around in space, torn into bits. I just cried. 'Cause she was hot

Hahaha

All I'm doing is reminding you of canon information, or things that were plainly stated in the game, and suddenly it's a vicious argument?

It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing. It's about acknowledging (or not acknowledging) the facts straight from the horse's mouth, 8 minutes 52 seconds in.

Aww, c'mon now, you don't have to sink my poor ship. =(
And hey, if people here can ship Miles and Franziska despite the fact that they canonically refer to each other as brother and sister, I don't see why my ship is under such attack!

But no, actually, it's been nearly a decade since I've last played the original Suikoden. I'll 'fess up to forgetting that line of dialogue, but I sure as hell won't give up on my ship. People here have shipped stranger things...and I know I'm far from the only Gremio / MC shipper out there. >.>

Another Code: Two Memories
Memories Doubles

Spoiler:
The game's protagonist is Ashley Mizuki Robbins, a 13 year old girl who has been raised by her aunt, Jessica, because her parents vanished when she was three years old. She believed that they were dead, but two days before her fourteenth birthday, she received a package. Inside, was a letter from her father and a small machine. The letter said that he would be waiting on Blood Edward Island, an island located off the coast of Washington in the United States. The next day, the day before her birthday, Jessica and Ashley ride over to Blood Edward Island on a boat, but Ashley's father isn't there to greet them. Jessica goes to look for him, but when she doesn't return, Ashley ventures out to search for both of them. While exploring the island, Ashley also befriends "D", a ghost who has lost his memories. Together they enter the Edward Mansion, each looking for answers to their own questions.

That made me so cry because of her mother.. :larry:
And it's also a very sad story about a little, poor girl.. And she even believe that her parents are dead, but it's only her mother.

I may have cried a bit when I beat Portal 2; the ending just seemed to close the possibility of a Portal 3 forever, plus the sudden change of character at the end for you-know-who was very moving. And this is a game with Frankencubes, lemon rants, spiky-mashy-Machivellian-death-plates and talking potatoes. Oh, and that thing to do with the moon. Lunacy, I tell you!
But I loved Portal 2. It may be my favourite game of all-time...

Final Fantasy X

+ After realizing that Yuna may die after defeating Sin, that tragic music and all the backtracking Tidus does in his remind, thinking of when Yuna would blankly stare at the panorama, because she was taking one last look at the things she loved.

+ After defeating Sin, Tidus has to go. The scene happened atop Cid's airhsip. It was sad seeing Tidus say good bye all of a sudden and then disappear, unwillingly.

Again cheers at Tidus disappearing
Spoiler:
Then X-2 happened

Though yeah it was sad with that scene about Yuna. Though the more powerful scenes for me were where Jecht was dying and Tidus was being a tool and shouting "I hate you" while crying like a little girl and where Auron was sent, also...Operarion Mihen was kinda devastating.

Though personally I've never cried at a game but for my own nomination Kingdom Hearts: 365/2 days gets terribly sad towards the end when it's all about friendships breaking and stuff.

Yeah... I felt empty in the inside when I saw that... :sadshoe:

That kinda, but devastating. I knew the operation was gonna be a failure, but I thought they would at least damage him, but no, he opened his mouth like TROLOLOLO and just fired his laser.

Although the ending was sad, the cheesy line Roxas said kinda ruined the atmosphere (a bit). Even in the Japanese version of the game, the line was better.

What line do you mean?
The kicker for me was seeing Axel on his bed looking out the window with his "Winner" stick in hand.

And Operation Mihen was awfully sad on the beach, though I find it's best to let Luzzu survive seems more dramatic and interesting than Gatta.

The entire ending of Ghost Trick made my eyes a bit watery. :acro: Also the ending for Professor Layton and Unwound Future. Then there's some scenes in 999 that made me teary-eyed too.

HA! Don't know why you guys are so strung up on THAT FF7 moment. There was cheers and fireworks for me the moment IT happened. Ah if only it had happened to Cloud, that would've been like Christmas.

^^ That's definitely what my sister would say. :D She can't stand Cloud. I guess it's because of his seriousness or something. But hey, I really did shed a tear or two on that particular scene and it's been about 9 years since I last played that game.
