Share levels in this once you make some.
I'll dip into the basic concept of it now. You build levels through out different styles of Mario...Including the original, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U. I won't dip into anything which has been in previous games, or the level maker.
Some of the new features include stacking enemies, putting enemies inside blocks, Amiibo Costumes, a Kuribo Stilleto and most wonderful of all....The Waluigi Mushroom!

I think if anyone is interested in wanting to do it, I'd like to see if we could have like a forum community for Mario Maker. Where we can share levels we make or share some fun levels that we happen to stumble upon. I think it'd be a fun thing to do.

So anyways, I've gotten to dabble just a little bit today. Using just the basic tools, I just went and made a basic level with a few surprises. I tried to make it beginner-ish friendly and something that you could optionally just speed through since I only have the basic set of tools. I'd share to get opinions, but the Mario Maker server is down at the moment. If I remember, I hope to share tomorrow. Hoping I can get the hang of making some GOOD levels.

That sounds beautiful.
Also, it's been changed so you don't need to log on daily to unlock anything, just place a shit ton of blocks and after a while you'll have it all.

Sorry for double post, but my first level's (is really basic) code is A1E4-OOOO-OO2A-2205 (Os might be 0s and vice versa, I can't see any difference between them in the games font.!

You can use the controller or the Wii mote to play levels too if you wish. How are you enjoying the game so far, Oliver?

I haven't unlocked too much yet, but I'm trying to go at a natural pace so I get accustomed to the level creator. I did just unlock the underwater set though. I may have to give it a go eventually.

I've only made 3 levels myself so far. I've purposely been trying to keep them basic and trying to stick with one theme for each level I make, such as wall jumping or moving platforms. I'm honestly hoping this is the right way to go. I was trying to look up level design and such for a bit before the game came out because I want to try to make levels that are fun, but not cheap or too boring. I might do more once I get more tools, but for now I'm keeping it simple. When I get the chance, I've been getting my brother to play too to see how it is.

I like it, I play U a bit as well as Wii because Proppeller Hat is my favourite power up, so I like that it was chosen.

And after randomly placing items for nearly 1 and a half hours, I finally have everything. Now to get me some amiibo! Also, I found a Megaman themed level and it is amazing.

If you don't want to put in multiple codes to try different levels from the same creator, you can click on their image from the level screen to see a list of their published levels. Makes things a lot easier. Make sure to follow each other too, and don't be stingy with those stars. Remember, the more stars you earn, the more levels you can publish! :godot:

I'm pretty sure they're all zeroes (as in 0), as Nintendo almost always excludes the letter "O" from their codes to purposely avoid confusion.

I don't think you'd be able to edit your levels with checkpoints, or at least not be able to upload them again.
You can't upload a level twice, even if you edited it so much that it's unrecognizable, I believe.

Hmm I'm not sure how he did it, perhaps he had to remake it from scratch if it is as you say, but I know someone who reuploaded a level to patch out exploits people had found in it.

Yeah, you can make minor changes and reupload again. Heck, moving just one block will allow a reupload. You just have to beat it again. I have been tweaking a couple of stages here and there after I got feedback on them, so I know it's possible.

The only time you can tweak and not reupload is if you're messing with someone else's level. But fixing the level by adding checkpoints shouldn't be a problem.

Since the Super Mario Maker Bookmark site went live, finding and sharing levels has been quite easy. Just log in with your NNID and you can find your personal page with all your levels, which others can bookmark to play in the game with the click of a button. Here's mine, for example.
