Case PR-1: Turnabout Mushrooms

Case Summary

On April 13, George Caldwell, a local composer of some fame, went on a mushroom hunt in Fairy Ring Park--named for the abundance of Fairy Ring Mushrooms that grow in the meadows--with his wife (sort of) Lucy, his friends John McKinerney and Igor Popov, and Igor's wife Tatyana. The hunt yielded a rather large amount of mushrooms, and everyone returned home with a full basket.
One day later, George suffered a severe stomachache and called the hospital. He was taken by ambulance to the Aguilar Clinic, where he was diagnosed with alpha-amanitin poisoning. He died from the poisoning on the 20th. The autopsy confirmed that the poison was alpha-amanitin, known for causing more than half of all mushroom-related deaths--it also has no known antidote. The specific mushroom that killed him is unknown, but Dr. Anne Renson, who diagnosed the poisoning, provided a list of the local mushrooms that contained the poison.
People who accompanied George on the hunt were asked about the hunt for fear that others might have gotten poisoned, too. Much to the relief of the Clinic, no one else had ingested the poison. When it was mentioned that George always tried to identify every mushroom he found, suspicion arose. When two of the hunters mentioned seeing Lucy messing with George's basket, the suspicion that someone intentionally poisoned George led to Lucy's arrest.
Lucy married George sixteen years ago, but George fled from the marriage after only six weeks, never formally divorcing her. They lived separately after that, and though Lucy loved George, George expressed no interest in Lucy's love for him. The police believed that the abandonment was the motive. "Outraged at being abandoned by the man she loved mere weeks after marrying him, she must have decided to kill him for revenge," one investigator said. "Given that George has had a history of mushroom poisoning, most people would think the death was just an accident that happened to be lethal."
The other hunters, upon being told, admitted that it was possible, and Lucy did indeed show some disdain at going on a hunt with George. In fact, were Lucy not friends with Tatyana, Igor pointed out, she would not have even been invited along on the hunt. Apparently, Lucy and George had not even spoken to each other for several years, but Lucy herself had confided in Tatyana that she would never be able to forgive George for marrying her and then leaving her almost instantly.

I didn't know when Turnabout Catfight was going to begin. I haven't been told a thing about what my character witnessed or anything like that.

It seems that we have no Tatyana. If we don't get someone to play here don't they lock up the case. Since their are other requests. Is it against the rules to pm people and ask them to join the case. I read the rules and I didn't see anything saying you couldn't do it. I would do it if its ok with you since I really like this case and would hate for it to be locked up. actually discard this last comment since it seems the position has been filled.

We are now closed to sign-ups. Please PM me regarding your role if you are the detective or a witness (or Lucy). I expect the prosecutor to communicate with the witnesses via PM to plan his strategy in court. Some witnesses have Psyche-Locks and are not to reveal their secrets unless those locks are broken. Also, many witnesses have evidence to show to the defense attorney, so it's important that the defense attorney carry out a good investigation.

By the way, I haven't completed all the details of this case (e. g. Psyche-Lock secrets, witness accounts, important evidence), so don't expect me to reply immediately.
