Change your vote to Option A. Any other option is going to devastate the game beyond belief

I'm sorry, Neptune, but Option A just doesn't work for me.

Option A:
Pierre (8) and Slezak (3) go with Cold (1) through the magenta door
Jumpfight (8) and Ami (1) go with Giggles (8) through the cyan door
Jesus (3) and Cesar (3) go with Nanjo (6) through the yellow door

Cold's going to betray to get back some points. I'm not going to try to convince him to ally because, if Lucky and I ally, Lucky will be at 10 points and can escape. Therefore a double-betray, no gain.
Jumpfight and MrGiggles also have to double-betray or either of them will be up to nine.
Nanjo's also going to betray. There's no way he's not. You'll betray too.

You're back to repeating history or at least trying to. You're trying to incite an all-betray round again.

So Neptune, why this, and only this, option? I know you want to wait but I'm through waiting.
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Can I ask why you want B or C?

Do you honestly think Giggles will ally you? Or Nanjo?

Lucky frowned rubbing a finger in his ear

Easy there, Neptune. Remember that talk we just had? I guess I was wrong about you, right now you are far worse than Ami ever was.

In any case that's not what I'm thinking Trace.

I'd rather not let two known betrayers go unchecked for another round.

Lucky crossed his arms glancing at Jumpfight and Giggle

With Ami currently out of the picture these two are free to reign in Option A

Wait, what did I say that was condescending? I asked a question

And there's no way jumpfight and Giggles will ally with each other. I'd bet everything on it

Lucky shook his head sadly

Neptune, you yourself told me you did not trust Jumpfight after what happened last round.
As one of the people closest to that betrayal other than Cesar himself I'm going to say your word now is not enough to overturn my suspicions.

Pierre, tell me this: why would jumpfight vote ally?

I didn't say that I trusted jumpfight to vote betray. I said that I knew he and Giggles would betray each other

Look at that pairing. Do you honestly think there's a chance Giggles and jumpfight won't betray each other?

One last thing, though. Unrelated to voting

I find it surprising the amount of distrust and Zero accusations going towards the "betrayers." Zero's goal is to get out. He doesn't care who with. It's not in Zero's advantage to betray (in jumpfight or Giggles' situation). It's in Zero's advantage to ally, actually, to keep trust

Look at it this way Neptune. Zero's in quite a pickle if he's among those with 1 or 3 points. He doesn't want that so he's definitely going to use his kill next round and try to make people distrust each other just enough to get his score back up.

OR he's among those who betrayed last round so he's comfortable. He knows that all he has to do is get 9 points and the easiest way to do that is to betray his allying assistant. We're just scared that that's going to happen. Regardless though, I think Zero DOES want to betray for the PRECISE REASON that there are so many people so close to the winning score.

Betrayal does not equal nothingness, but if he IS one of the low scorers, why are you so desperate to get rid of him? We still have some time to figure things out IF Zero IS among the 1s and 3s. THIS IS WHY I DON'T THINK ZERO HAS ONE OR THREE POINTS. THUS HE HAS TO BE WITHIN THE BETRAYERS.

I can't tell you if Franzise is doing that this round, but when I hosted the last round, I made sure Zero and his/her assistant couldn't be on a team beyond the beginning of the game

Also, in the last game, Zero couldn't open the number 9 door alone

Okay, say that's true. What would happen if that option got picked beyond Zero/her assistant's control? I mean what if the votes just turned out that way? What would've happened then? I mean Zero/her assistant could only do so much.

Also how do we know that if Option A is picked, Zero would be going through the door alone? Making it to 9 on his/her own seems like an easy way to out yourself if you can't leave.

Of course, as we've seen before, this round differs significantly from the last one so who knows what the rules are like?

Despair-Inducing Music

Nanjo fears the outside of the AB room. He knows what kind of awful decision he has made. Ally or Betray? What was the worst case scenario for each?

As he stumbles out the door, however, his stomach lurches. Something about the faces of everyone in the room makes him feel uneasy.

Sure enough, the first word on the board, BETRAY, makes the old man's eyes grow wide with fear.

Sensing what comes next, he can't bear to watch it and adverts his eyes. He knows that something is very wrong. Lucky voted betray? Was it Jumpy? He begins to hear the furious outbursts at him, but even that's not the end of it. Giggles, who Nanjo may have previously considered an ally, also turns out to have betrayed.

Nobody addresses him specifically, but he hears the malice of JM and Trace towards him.

When the din finally dies down, Nanjo looks toward his fellow players solemnly, and speaks up.

I started last round thinking I'd be behind everybody for the entire game, but now...

I mean, to some extent, I always knew it was in my greatest self-interest to betray this round against JM. Cold and I would've been the only two players below match-point right now if everyone had allied. Two players can't hope to stop 3 of 6 players from allying, so I tried to create a third player we could rely on to help us, one who was also low on bp. I decided to betray JM for this person. I wanted a player who I could rely on to want this game stretched out. I wanted someone doing as bad or worse than us.

You've seen the results, though. My biggest problem is no longer that Cold, JM and I will have to try and catch up; it's that everything is chaotic and no trust exists whatsoever.

Anyway, I will say that I think JM wants to go up against me since there's an easy case to be made to leave me outside the next set of numerical doors. That said, I can't say I mind. There's not much trust for me here now, so I'll try to earn some back.

Vote: Option A

Also I think that we shouldn't really use last game as a model. Any number of different twists or roles could've been utilized. Even the difference from VLR to 999 is huge. Zero could have any number of powers.

Please ask me any questions you have. I think I explained everything I could have though.

I had to take the vote into my own hands Lucky. i'm quite sorry I didn't consult you about it, but I couldn't. What if I was wrong and I told you? You would have been at fault, too. I voted betray without telling you only because I didn't want to make you responsible, and I didn't want you pressing ally before I could hit betray.

Cesar, I think you are Zero. I guess I might have been onto something with my wild accusations in the beginning of the game. You understand why I didn't tell you or Lucky, I guess I could have told you to betray also. I should have done that.

Vote: Option A
Giggles, I'm betraying you. Regardless of my thoughts about Ami, I'm not gonna kill her. I can't have that blood on my hands.

Don't give me that. You're not some savior, out to protect people. We both know you would vote betray even if Ami had ten points or was dead.

Anyway, we're going down a really dark road here, people. Tensions seem high. I'm gonna ask everyone not to do anything... Rash or crazy. You know who you are.

I figure trepidation is a little bit more dire than the mood we're going for here. I mean this AB game wasn't exactly gruesome. It was just tragic.

But I don't think you're zero, Giggles. I'd be fine allying you under better circumstances. Anyways, what happens if you get 9 points? I think if we allied, it'd be bad for everyone. So I'll betray, I don't see why you wouldn't. Maybe we'll learn something new next round that will help us out of the stagnation we all have

Goddammit, I don't even want 9 points. That's not my goal here... And the worst part is that you're right. You absolutely should betray me. That is what I would do in your shoes. Anyway, I didn't say you do think I'm Zero. I think you think I'm innocent, which makes others think that you think that I think that you think that I might be Zero.

I think.

Trace looked around, defeated. More votes for A had come in and, in doing some thinking, he'd decided that perhaps it was time to start trusting people again.

Okay, I... I guess I can come around. I'll have time to kick myself if I end up being wrong when the game is done. Thus, I'm going to...

Unvote: Option B

Vote: Option A

Lucky snapped awake from his slumber, hearing the new voices on the scene, seems people had finally decided to chime in. Glancing over at the new vote Tally, he smiled.

Well now, there's a surprise. He shrugged nonchalantly It's not too bad, I see merits this way as well, like I said I was torn before, just seemed the odds were preferable with B. His face began to fall slightly However now Jumpfight has admitted to jumping the button, we know for sure we've put two traitors with self interest forward. Perhaps Zero and an Assistant? Perhaps two people who might ally and escape? Who knows, seems the die have been cast already.

He glared towards Jumpfight.

You have no evidence saying Cesar was Zero...and if you did you could have at least told me about it beforehand. I'm glad you admit it was you though in any case, lest folks have doubts. As you can see by his actions he DIDN'T betray us because we talked it out, I came to an agreement with him. You broke my word for me though, even if he had betrayed though, he would have been locked into 8 points forever branded untrustworthy...as you now have.

Lucky's fists clenched angrily, just looking at that traitor annoyed him so.

You could have trusted me, but you seized the advantage without caring about me or what I would say. That's not something partners do, even when I voted ahead of people in the first round I let them know my intentions beforehand...gives folks a chance to sway me, to know what I'm planning to do, to make a case for the other option. It provokes discussion.

Trust goes both ways, I see little reason to work with you ever again.

(I think the strange Kaiji theme is better fitting for this circumstance, more angry emotions there)

Trace was enjoying his long-awaited rest when he began to realize that his rest was taking longer than usual. His eyes flew open.

Oh crap, the elevators--

What? Everyone's still here. Did our lovely host extend the party for yet another day? Alright, if I can't think of anything to say, wake me up when September ends before the elevators leave.

Trace shut his eyes again to continue napping.

Image Hmm, maybe I should have had a shower installed in the elevators or something...

Day 3, Phase 2

Option A passes

Lucky, Slezak, and Cold are a team! So are Jumpfight, Ami, and Giggles! Then there's Neptune, Cesar, and Nanjo!

The elevators drop everyone off in a large, square room. Hallways to the left and right lead to doors with a 4 and an 8 on them. Of more immediate note, though, is the almost comically-large stack of explosives sitting in the middle of the room. A monitor with a USB port on it is connected to the bombs, a post-it note stuck on the dead screen.

"If I go down, I'm taking you with me"

Lucky scratched his head nonplussed with the bomb. Yawning he sighed, he was far too tired right now for this.

So...Lady...whatever we call you, this another one of your tricks or what?

Trace and Neptune had already begun to take action on the bomb. That was enough for him to relax.

Well...he yawned you guys seem to have this under control. I need a little more shut eye though.

With that Lucky sank to the floor against the wall and begun to doze gently.

So you found that in a room, I take it... Oh well. Maybe we'll be able to do something with it after the AB game. Honestly, how do we know that this is a real bomb? Anyone familiar with explosives enough to tell us? It could be faked to make us turn on each other.

Also... Just in case: Host, was this placed here by a player in the game or by You?

Rov claimed bomber at the end of last game. It's really the smartest thing to do after (maybe even before?) the bomb is defused. It'll show that you're not Zero

Yeah, yeah, that's... I phrased that wrong. I'm sorry, I haven't slept in about a day. By the way, the code can't be caesarian shift shifted to say anything else and I'm not getting any good anagrams either. I am working on anagraming every shifted code.

We should leave multiple people behind then. I would be perfectly fine staying behind, because I don't wanna leave anyone alone with a bomb. Anyway, I'm sure someone will work out the options. There's quite a few more than there were for the elevators.

Wow, these doors were DESIGNED for me to sit out of the next round.

[Door 4]+[Door 8]= Digital Root 3

[1]+[2]+[3]+[4]+[5]+[7]+[8]+[9]= Digital Root 3

I'm fine with it if that's what people want.
