I somewhat agree. I usually perfer Ace Attorney fanarts where the characters are relatively close to the official art. (Yes I know I'm picky.)

And well... Their interactions - although cannot be labeled as 'romantic' - do have some amount of sexual tension.

I cannot help but point out that Edgeworth has those kind of sexual tension dialogues with Phoenix, too. Ditto on Gumshoe towards Phoenix and Edgeworth.

When Edgeworth called Phoenix partner in Trials and Tribulations, I could have sworn I heard a thousand fangirls swoon.

Not to mention the talk between Edgeworth and Phoenix and being all hard on for work and giving it to Gumshoe and nothing little about things and all that stuff~ All started in the first game.
