OK, I been tracking Justice for All on Ebay and I been noticing that two different covers for the game. Sorry, I'm asking since I only have the Sliver Japanese copy. I have seen the Golden Colored Cover with 4 Characters in a box on it (1)which I have seen often but I also have seen one other cover that looks like similar to AA's cover (2). But I have never seen it before in real life and I wondering about it.

1) Common Golden Colored Cover

2) Other Cover That I Have Never Seen Before
Can anyone have a copy of the game with this cover?

Can Anyone Explain this Situation to me? Larry

In any case, The AA-ish one is much better with the exception of poor pearly.

The second one was supposedly the original cover before the current cover. I like it because it's similar to the cover for Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Not that I don't like the current cover for Justice For All, but it seems odd that they're using similar covers from the Japanese game for the American game. Oh well, I do like the simplicity of the current cover. Godot

I have the first JFA cover; I kinda like it better than the other one.

Only since I think that if GS3 gets brought over, they'll have a similar case.
Since GS4 has a case like that.

I like them both, though I probably prefer the first one because it shows a good amount of the main characters without having to block any with text. The second one is more artistically impressive, but it's not really all that good if Pearl gets blocked out that way.

Having imported the Japanese version of PW:AA, I prefer the current US cover because it is more consistent.

The second cover's actually a Photoshopped version of the original GS2 cover made around the time when JFA was first anounced. As you can see, the rating is "RP", meaning "Rating Pending", more commonly known as the "Product not yet rated" seal. Though I've seen some JFA copies with that cover in eBay, it's pretty safe to say that those said games were actually used PW:AA copies. (I should know; A kid from school bought one and found out it was a fake. Poor Todd.) Ergo, the only real JFA cover is the golden one.

And, if anyone cares, the European covers (or at least the UK version) are the same as the US version. Only, you know, with different languages on...

I kind of like the second cover more (despite Pearl getting blocked) but I have the first cover.

That isn't a second cover. It's a photoshopped version of the cover when JFA was first announced.
The only real cover is the first one.

The other cover is fake/shopped. And the Phoenix/Miles/Fran/Pearl cover is what all regions have.

I hate the PW:AA covers for both UK and US. I'd have prefered if we got the Jap cover for that too so the series would match when 3+4 are released. I'd be a neat lil' collection. But the cover of PW:AA ruined that... forever. [/ramble]

So yeah, to sum up:
Simplistic art (4 central characters) = Good
Phoenix standing against a white background (UK PW:AA cover) = Bad

Got that Capcom?

I may not seem it, but I'm actually rather hot... in a strange way.

I quite liked the UK PW:AA cover.

It stands out very well in the game store, amongst all of these colourful covers!

Though I am yet to see the UK JFA cover (I borrowed an American version), it doesn't seem that it would be similar to the first. *frowns* Kind of like the Silent Hill games. Different covers, compared to how all of the Final Fantasies look good together.

Though, excuse me for going slighty off-topic, the European DS game boxes are nicer to look at. Elite Beat Agents US thin black looks out of place amongst frosted white larger cases on the shelf. *laughs* Oh well!

To answer your question Ally, the european cover is more or less the same as the US cover, with a bluey gray colour on the cover instead of gold.

I've not been around game stores much recently, but when I was trailing around the other day, I saw no copies of it. I bought PW:AA back in June with my DS and I was told in the store that it was absolutely flying off of the shelves.

Chatting around again the other day, I also found out that it's still selling like anything. How encouraging!

I still prefer this to the one of AA, though it's pretty visible on the DS section of vg stores.
To Ally-Oop!: yeah, it sells pretty well here too, that's why I don't believe that Capcom of America won't translate GS3, maybe with a nifty title like "Justice in Time". (Just speculations, beware!)
