On topic, the Friskian couple has something that I noticed, pointed out in CantFaketheFunk's fanfic (it is your's right?), Follow the Fool? From first view, Adrian has the problems deep down inside, but looking harder, one would realize that Fran has problems too, ones she has a harder time admitting too. It'd be a great way for them to endure, because they have each other to confide in and lean against.

What server? I had some friends on Maelstrom (US) for a bit. My main was on Skullcrusher then transfered to Mug'Thol, I'm a Troll Mage (even if I've not played in, uh, four months while in China). The Mage They Call Jayne(z), at your service.

I figured Adrian was gay pretty early on. I read into subtext way too much a lot of the time, but for her I thought it was pretty obvious. There are probably some horrible mis-quotes here, but:
- "Matt could make any woman fall for him.. except her." (Will, about Adrian)
- "You stupid males and your stupid pride" (Adrian)
- "Celeste was such an important part in her life... her tower of strength" (Edgey, about Adrian)
- "Franziska left me her telephone number and told me to call if there was any trouble at all..." (Adrian)
- "There was only one event that could possibly cause such an emotional reaction within Ms. Andrews; Ms. Impax's suicide." (Phoenix, about Adrian)
There were a load more subtle ones, too. There're the ones I remember the best.
She very clearly shows no romantic interaction towards any of the many male characters she comes into contact with; not only does she quite clearly hate Matt and Juan, but she had plenty of time after the trial to say something other than "thank you" to Nick or Edgey if she wanted to, but the only person she talks about is Fran and how she wants to continue contact with her. This, coming from the girl who finds it "difficult to be intimate with another person".
...I don't think the ambiguous name has anything to do with it at all... a lesbian is a woman who falls in love with women, not a man.

You know the official art chibis of Maya and Nick on thier DSs? Well, this kinda came from there. Don't ask what's up with Fran's face because I honestly don't know.
If I had to blame someone for this one, it'd be CFTF. Fran and Adrian's domestic relationship in One of These Things Does Not Belong was one of the cutest things I've ever read, and I just imagined Adrian sneaking up on Fran in her study...
Um. I'm not sure what my opinion on this one is.
.This was the inspiration for it. I do like how it came out (I might colour it if I have the time), though the concept disturbs me a little. A maternal Franziska would be even scarier than the whip-wielding one.

• Adrian is usually carrying something in her hand, like a book or card. Fransizka... well, you know she always carries a certain something.
• Both of them took extreme measures (illegal to boot) to have revenge upon the men they hated.

Could it be that Edgeworth told her that if she didn't help, Adrian would be sent to jail for the murder of Corrida? I know Franny is no good at showing or precieving emotions, but she still has them; Adrian is a bit more in-tune, she saw how distraught Phoenix was ("Are you ill, Mr. Wright? You're very pale.") and was concerned, even though she certainly didn't care for him at that point in time.

Nobody's saying it is canon (except probably CFTF, but you don't want to be arguing this with him), but the subtext is undeniably there, so there's absolutely nothing in-game to say it's not a possibility.
I'm pretty sure that it's one of those pairings that would have a massive fanbase if one of them was male; if Adrian had been a guy, most people would interpret her (his?) total devotion and adoration of Celeste as love, and then again when she (he?) clings desperately to every word of Franziska's in court... not to mention the phone number thing in the epilogue.
They might not say explicitly "Adrian likes girls!" but they certianly come as close to it as any game I've ever played.
But, as usual, everyone is straight until proven without doubt that they are gay, it seems.
There is a LOT more in-game evidence to indicate that Adrian is a lesbian than if she's straight. In fact, the ONLY thing that the "Adrian is striaght" argument has going for it is that statistically, people tend to be hetero.

Personally, the reason I like the Friskian pairing has nothing to do with their clinginess or even their interactions. I just think their personalities, weaknesses, and strengths complement each other perfectly (as CFTF described perfectly in an AWESOME rant that I CAN'T FIND ANYMORE because that thread like disappeared D=).
Also, Adrian's clinging doesn't have to do with being a girl like you said, it has to do with her disorder.
Which, you know, still has nothing to do with her sexuality, I just felt the need to point that out >>;
