Not familiar with DynastyNet, but I can't see it being any different to any other... @Boss - according to my servers list, you get a random DynastyNet server from connecting to irc.dynastynet.net on port 6667. |

Croik, might I suggest more than 2 mods? I'm not sure how popular of a chat room this is going to be, but based to the popularity of the forums (recent events prove that), I think we could use more mods to maximize effectiveness. |

I seem to be having trouble getting on to the Dynastynet server on mIRC, since the Web Chat link isn't working for me. I figured it'd be the same as joining other servers. I simply type the following into the status window: /server irc.dynastynet.net I continue to get the message Unable to resolve server. I'm completely sure I'm using port 6667, as I used it to connect to others, and I don't even know how to change it to something else. I know for sure this time it's not my connection, because I can connect to other servers just fine. Anyone have any guesses as to what the problem might be? |

Looks like your DNS server is broken. Try /server ing to one of these IPs: 82.192.77.206, 204.15.224.150, 209.133.9.96, 65.110.55.171, 66.225.200.90, 72.20.17.166 UNABLE TO RESOLVE SERVER isn't really a connection problem - it's failing before it can even _TRY_ to connect. |

I don't think my DNS server is broken. If it was, I wouldn't be able to visit any sites, right? Anyway, thanks for the help, but I've figured it out. I asked some others, and they said I needed to type a different server insetad of the "irc" part to connect to the dynastynet network, so I found this site, and typing in one of the commands, it worked. http://www.dynastynet.net/servers.php |

You can get "semi" broken DNS servers. Either that or your ISP is blocking DNS requests for servers with "IRC" in or something :(. And ok. |

If you're still looking for mods, I'd be more than willing to help out. I used to be a regular at another IRC chatroom, so I'm pretty familiar with the basic commands. My timezone is PDT, and I'm always online from around 5 p.m. to midnight. |

Now someone else has bumped this topic ;) I can say I fixed the web chat link. It uses javascript to open a new window in the center of the screen, but falls back to just a plain link if that fails. If it understands "return false" but not "window.open" then... there's not much I can do. webirc.php <-- if you're logged in, it'll remove all invalid characters from your username and use it as your IRC nick. |

I'm still sort of new to IRC chat but I have a lot of free time on my hands. I know all the basic functions and I would love to be a mod. Please let me be a mod becuase I am extremely bored with all this free time (especialy during the holidays). My time zone is GMT but during February I will be in France which is GMT +1 I think. Don't know If I can get internet accses though. (Srry if the mods have alreday been chosen, I didn't read the second page) |

http://www.mibbit.com/ We should use it, and put it in the first post. This way, there's no need to launch mIRC or any other client, and it'll be easier and simpler to get in. |

There were issues with the Mibbit client and it auto-banning people on the host IRC server on login, so it was removed. |

I happened to click on the other night because I was curious but someone said I'm not registered, and something about not posting, saying hi and waiting for a response. I dunno... I just left so an not to offend anyone.  Well, I'm one who dislikes rudeness and nonsense, and I'm quite the whistle-blower (though I still have to know what actually requires reporting). I can learn, of course. I'll always be happy to help you and the other members whenever I can.  My time zone is +8:00 GMT.

I've been to the chatroom now, and it seems to have deviated into something else entirely, with people insisting it's not a PW chatroom. Many in there claim to have never heard of the game. Do you think we should switch IRCs? |

I've included a link to the channel (via Mibbit) in my signature. Think it might be a good idea to include it in the channel topic in case people just don't know how IRC works. Whatever the case, 5 users at a time should not be considered above average for #courtrecords...come on, people! |
