Well - after 1hr30min of hard slaving over backup, restore, fix, change news script... We now have the forums back up again. This backup was taken shortly after the forums originally went down, so Wooster's post that mimicked JapaneseGIRL's one on the IF forums isn't there, but...

how long will we last this time?

You may notice page load times have improved as a result of our move (however the CR home page may load slightly slower).

The first thing i noticed was the faster load times. Makes it a lot easier to post.

Comics updated 12/12. Projects updated 9-5. Fanfic updated 11-4. sprite thread 6-2

Long term plans: stick with this.

Dreamhost is (semi) well-known for being... really bad... especially on the topic of CPU limits.

If we have any more problems, we may change forum software and/or we may move to a new host.

I'm glad you like the (in some cases, drastically) reduced load times.

...and NOW it comes into effect >_<

Sorry about the "Board Disabled" message - the settings I set up to stop people accessing the forums while I was uploading the backup FINALLY came into force. Promptly shutting down the board.

For those of you who have just been having some problems: Google/Yahoo/MSN sitemaps, as well as URL rewriting have now come into effect.

Yes - I made a couple typos. I'm not too proud of them. :(
