I believe Apollo Justice was the first one that did not have dual language as a feature. I remember someone saying it had to do with helping people learn English. It would make sense as learning tool. Take something you are familiar with, but put it in different context to help you with vocabulary. Of course, if that were their only purpose they should have proof read the game better.

The guy with the news camera makes me think that they are doing a story on Edgeworth in the game. Or they are filming a commercial or recruitment video for the Prosecutor's Office. I'd love to see what that would entail.

I don't think it's part of the game. The proportions of the display don't match the aspect ratio of the DS and I don't see much pixelation. It could be part of the game, but I'm betting it's there for the show.
