(Pre?) Pre Court Event Update

So what does this mean? All DS era games were first announced via Famitisu, usually in conjunction with Tokyo Game Show, with meager exception.
So the absence of any Famitisu news, in conjunction with Capcom planning to show off an old TGS trailer (which would certainly pull attention from any new game that might be announced), I think it's safe to say that no new games will be announced.
Now, you can read this as either a good thing, or a bad thing:
- Good thing: No Ace Attorney: The Movie - The GAME. It's bad to judge, but movie tie in games tend to stink.
- Bad thing: No Ace Attorney 5, or Ace Attorney Investigations 2, (or Ghost Trick 2?)
Of course, just because Famitisu doesn't have anything to say on the matter, doesn't mean that nothing will come out of the event this Sunday. We've had concerts and musicals announced in the past, and there's still Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney for which we've still not seen any Layton gameplay for (Though, why would they show off Layton at a Capcom event?), not to mention the movie. Also, while I'm thinking about it. Don't expect confirmation on a western release date. This is a Japanense event, for the Japanese fans. They won't care.
Also, it's come to my attention that some files did not make the jump to the new server. Since Croik's been for the most part unavailable, I'll take the initiative and try to put back some broken things. Right now that means the scripts 'should' be back up.
Mind you, my backup copy of CR is likely not as up to date as Croik's so I can't put back things that weren't there to begin with, namely AAI2 material. But if you see anything of note, (or rather don't see), leave a comment in this topic. I'll see what I can do to fix it.

Unless they asked Famitsu to keep hushed about something...but I don't know if they can even do that.
Maybe it'll simply be a new trailer for the movie or the game.

You can't tell Famitisu to keep quiet about something they aren't told about in the first place. There clearly is some sort of deal between Famitisu and the Devs. Famitisu is a publication first and foremost. People don't read unless they get exclusives, and Famitisu 'had' a proud history behind it. At least... in the 80's and 90's, it had a proud history. Still... it makes one wonder what sort of leverage Famitisu has over Capcom to this day.

You know. We're royally setting ourselves up to be disappointed.
Capcom: Sees event as an excuse to pump the movie.
Fans: Sees event to announce something we haven't seen or heard before.
Man. I am SO slow on the uptake. Do I even deserve to admin a fan site about detective work if I figure things out so late to be obnoxiously obvious?

Well, that's that, I suppose. It's not as if they're denying a new game or anything.
Anyway, let's just hope that this event gets good coverage and the movie does well; the better the franchise does, the more likely we are to get another game.

I'm pretty certain this is not an event made exclusively to hype the movie, and even if that were the case, WHO CARES, it's more AA awesomeness!
I myself are decently hyped but are completely ready for a disappointment. Three days to go yay!

Also, someone has put on the wikipedia page for the movie that it's out 15th May in the US. Not enough evidence to support this, plus it's from wikipedia. Just throwing it out there team.
