Well, that one does look better. We could've used that, or maybe an edit. Sligneris's sprite from AAO comes to mind:

Unfortunately, I don't think this patch works with iPhone emulators, which is a shame. Guess I have to play this on my computer. -_-

The backup forum... I've seen a link to it in a post here and there, but I can't find it anymore. Do you have a link?

I downloaded Beat, but I can't actually run it. It just says that I don't have the right program to open it or words to that effect.

Uhm, beat is a program in the first place. Did you mix up the patch in beat format with beat, the patching program?

You know this is out of my own curiosity asking this, but has anyone from CAPCOM ever contacted the fan translation team about this game? Or have they done what the Mother 3 fan translators did and offer the translation to them to use?

No contact in either direction. It just wont end well if that ever happens. All that is possible is a C&D letter, which would be too late. Capcom would have done the translation on their own if they had any interest in making an English release. But it just isn't financially possible, as they've said several times.

Hmm I guess it was a bit to optimistic to hope for, even if we do have a fan translation I just hope CAPCOM does an official one if they make GK3, I want that game to come Westward...

Just a heads up. There's some kind of horrific noise on the intro to Case 3 (during the singsong show). I doubt it's meant to be there as it sounds like an amalgamation of various other sound effects from the game.

Found it on DraStic.

Okay, I'm having the problem with evidence not showing up. I know you're supposed to use an old version of Desmume, but I'm playing on Openemu. Is there a way to install the old version of Desmume onto Openemu?

I want to thank the team and everyone involved for giving me the chance to enjoy this game.
I had a great time and I think you did an outstanding job with the translation.

Thank you, and thank you once again!

That's your own fault for using sites that give you mallware instead of what you want.

Also, this forum is on the Internet, so obviously you are able to access it.

It's not the fault of the translation team, they've never linked a ROM. Just be careful what sites you visit.

How do you even figure it's their fault? This is the equivalent of getting in a car accident on your way to McDonald's and then blaming McDonald's for the car crash because that's where you wanted to go.
Moreover, how did you manage to even get a virus? You must've visited the most shady of shady sites in order to get a virus from ROM downloads. These sites don't even pop up on the first results of Google. And most likely you'll have to run a .exe, though you should know that NDS ROMs only come with the .nds extension (sometimes wrapped in a .rar, .zip or .7z). And then you should have had an anti-virus which should've interfered before you even attempted anything dangerous. So you really only have yourself to blame here.

Well, I'll assume his computer got the virus and is unable to reach the internet, and he's accessing these forums with another device. (His phone, someone else's computer, etc.)

How the fuck did you even end up finding a page with a ROM like that? All the pages I have found searching for that room are completely safe,so you must have done something really, really stupid to find that site. How the hell do we even know that it's true and you are not just some idiot trying to get attention?

I know I am not supposed to insult other users, but this guys just came here and started to insult the translation team like its their fault that he can't even do something that simple.

Perhaps he got one of those spyware search engines overriding his default search provider?

But yeah, blaming the translation team isn't right.

*EDIT*
After doing some googling I'm gonna say that the beat.exe is most likely a virus and not a false positive. Don't download it, download the xdelta one. I downloaded that one and my av scans say its files are clean.

For those that have downloaded the patches, either Beat or the other, my antivirus keeps removing the beat.exe file saying that it contains a heuristic virus called Suspicious.Cloud.9 For those more tech savvy in this department than I am, is this a virus or a false positive? I know keygens can give false positives but I don't have much experience with roms and patches so i want to check before I restore this file to my computer.

It is 100 % likely that your anitvirus program is an overly paranoid hater of packers. Many hobby developers like to use packers to compress the executable, letting it decompress itself in memory at execution time. Antivirus programs hate packers, because they expose the lameness of their signature engines, they are unable to tell what the original file was.

The fact that you are getting such a poor classification is a sure sign that it really is just them detecting a packer.
