A DGS demo will be coming 'soon' to the Japanese eShop, based on the Monster Hunter Festa '15 demo. Includes Joint Reasoning system. The special PVs they made with Ryuunosuke and Holmes (written by Takumi) for the city tour (each video made for 'the locals') will also be made available, starting with the Tokyo PV (the other cities are Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka and Hakata (=Fukuoka)).

Edit:

http://game.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/ne ... 03465.html

Play-limit of 30 times (like most demos), size will be 48.9MB.

Hopefully, that means we can get a clean rip of the Joint Reasoning track.

I wouldn't trust it qualitywise, demos tend to cut the quality of assets to shrink the filesize.

Well, it'll be cleaner than the attempts from the Japanese commentary demo, I'd imagine.

And better than the one they play before a NicoNico stream, which is a whopping 64kbps and with plenty of hissing in the background.

Bumped over to Trial Minutes. Thanks for the tip!

So with this news... and no localization in sight...

I'd say E3 is LAST hope.

I think it's a double-edged sword with localisation, if you pardon the cliché.

It's either we get it because Sherlock Holmes is an icon of British literature or we don't get it because the 'nightmare' of localising early 20th century Japan, which I think they should just leave be for the localisation.

Another reason we may not get DGS is because it's a whole new spin-off series and, if it doesn't do well in Japan, we've probably got another GK2 situation.

Japan is literally ONLY in the first case. You only are in the courtroom in Japan, you go straight to England afterwards, and get caught in a murder on the boat.

Well, there was that video Nintendo recently put out, announcing their new Nintendo World Championship at E3, and someone was wondering if this could be Shu.

I already knew that much.

In that case, there is even less of an excuse not to localise the game for an international release. They could quite simply set the first trial in the US (like they have done for the rest of the AA series) if they really needed to change the location. Although, personally, I think they shouldn't.
