Another NicoNico Chou Kaigi expo in Japan, another Ace Attorney stage show!

Tonight an hour-long stage show for AA6 will be streamed on NicoNico, offering new info and gameplay footage for the game, as well as featuring producer Eshiro, director Yamazaki, and Apollo's Japanese voice actor, KENN!

The stream begins about eight hours from this post - that is, at 7:30 PM Pacific, 10:30 PM Eastern, 2:30 AM GMT, and 11:30 AM JST.

We're currently planning to live-tweet the show, and are determining if we'll be able to restream on Cytube/Hitbox. For now though, useful links:

UPDATE: Unfortunately, there's not much to update about! The stage show was largely a replay of known info, albeit with some new gameplay footage sprinkled in. About the only solidly new fact we got was that Nayuta will prosecute in Kurain as well as Japanifornia.

Oh, my God, the hype. I'm going to make some guesses for this special stage:

-Case 3 will be shown off, with scenes of Nayuta in Kurain.
-Psyche-Locks will return, penalties included.
-We'll get a new detective for Kurain.
-Blackquill, Gumshoe and Franziska will return.
-We'll get a new trailer which might possibly leak said characters.

Dang, I timeshifted, then I watched part of the stream on time, and now I can't revisit the page for the rest of the stream I missed. Curse my impatience.

I think I stopped around when they were showing footage of Ema and some of Kenn's voice acting. What else did I miss, guys?

You don't need membership to timeshift it. You just need membership to comment, and premium to get early access, better quality, smoother streams, etc.

Was it just me, or was the stream quality pretty bad? I'm glad that for the animated scene, they at least keep it clear enough to show Nick's face when he thought he was getting arrested again.

As I mentioned before, the Ritual Song was sung by Haruka Shimotsuki, who also did the concert version of The Guitar's Serenade. Apparently, the song actually is sung in Japanese.

I wonder how the fingerprint analysis will work? It says that you need to find fingerprints. Does this mean that we may have to talk to every character to expand our fingerprint library.

Anyhow, I'm really happy Ema is back and she's brought back forensics investigation to the series. We've been missing on that since Apollo Justice, which has been a veeeeeeeeery long time! Haha. AJAA was released on 2008, meaning it's been eight whole years without forensics.

Other than that, I think I might be the only one most excited to dash through the first case of the game and get to Ema faster. x3 I've missed her so much and I'm happy to see her in glorious 3D, and that she's finally a forensics investigator! :phoenix:

Meh. I've never liked first cases. They're too formal and basic. The only exceptions I can make are:
A.) 1-1, 'cause it's a classic and because of Sahwit's breakdown. xD
B.) 4-1, because of the twist and how 4-4 picks up on it (really, 4-4 is basically the meat of AJAA).
C.) 5-1, since it's the return of Phoenix to the courts.
D.) GK-2, because it's one of the biggest first turnabouts in the entire series.
But I have a feeling I'll like 6-1. Might be because of all the mysticism surrounding the KoK and the new mechanic.

If Ema's dialogue is any indication, she really wants Apollo and Athena to dust everyone and everything. It's kind of her new old thing now. I wouldn't be surprised if we can gather prints from everyone. (The first 4 or so are already provided by Ema when she introduces the fingerprinting process.)

Also, she's still the sweet tooth we know from AA4. She may have a bag of Snackoos on hand, even though it's not shown here.
