This week's episode of the Ace Attorney anime brought with it two new brief AA6 commercials:

Just Like Old Times Edition
Preorder Episode Edition

While both have some nice animation of Phoenix and Edgeworth in court, maybe the most interesting thing comes at the end of the preorder episode video:

It looks like AA6 will see the return of multi-witness testimonies! This was hinted at with a few of the bits of footage we'd seen before, but this is the first official confirmation. It remains to be seen if this is a one-off thing for the preorder ep, and if it'll expand to 3+ witnesses and feature PLvsPW/DGS' "questioning"/"Hang on!" system, but in any event, a little more dynanism in the court is always welcome!

New AA6 info is scheduled to be shown on this Wednesday's Capcom TV, which means we'll likely get news tomorrow night from Famitsu. We'll keep you posted!

Oh man, I so hope we'll get those bonus cases in the West.

Wouldn't even mind if we had to pay for them, although my favorite solution would be for it to be free the first few weeks after release and then as paid DLC for one or two bucks.

I like the "multiple witnesses at once" approach, so I wouldn't mind even if it was in the main game (probably only in Kurain?). It's most likely not a major mechanic, because we already have two other courtroom mechanics in Mood Matrix and the Water Mirror.

Edit: Btw. I still can't deal with the fact that Pearl is supposed to be eight years older than Bokuto. :acro:

I have a feeling that Multi Witness will be a thing now.
Since the game's release order was:
PLvsAA -> GS5 -> DGS -> GS6
I think they wanted to do multi witness since their first 3DS game, which led to the experimental system on PLvsAA
But then, the system seemed weak or has a flaw so they put it off on GS5
Later, they improved on the system and used it for DGS
And when they see that it works well now, they'll use it for GS6
Kinda makes sense, don't you think?

Not to mention that GS5 was under development when PL vs. AA came out. Also, it doesn't really make sense in the Japanifornia justice system. They have some semblance of sanity, despite the three day trial system. The same can't be said for Labyrinthia and Kurain.

Why do people always overlook the fact that Bokuto needs to stand on a box just to testify?

There's little to translate if we can't see the entire sentences. It seems Phoenix was bothered with someone who "can't read the atmosphere" (or "killed the mood"), Pearl was talking about Leifa, and Apollo was asking if it was okay to use something at the "scene".

I think I can barely make out that Phoenix was referring to Edgeworth. And Pearl referred to Leifa using the "san" suffix, despite the latter being a princess.

I think these are good indications the short stories won't be canon.

Never has there been a bigger WTF moment for Edgeworth until now when he realizes he never gets DLC costumes.

It seems like in every one of these commercials, it's about making fun of Edgeworth. Oh, how the times have changed.
