Capcom actually put this up earlier today then pulled it, lol. For "recaps" they're actually pretty spoiler-free all things considered. Certainly not showing the killers, and they don't even show the victim this go-around. Anyway, I'll try and sub this this weekend, but I can't guarantee when.

Contrary to popular belief, I can't actually cover every Ace Attorney piece of news out there. Ash doesn't man the site as much as in the old days, but he's just as good (if not better!) a newshound than I am. ...But if you mean why didn't I make this particular post and why I didn't update the Twitter/Tumblr, it's because I've been in pretty much pure work-commute-sleep-commute-work mode the past week or so. The concern is appreciated, though!

It's really late for me here and I just got off translating a good chunk of the AJ anthology, so I need rest. If no one has done a translation by the time I stop by in 10 or so hours, I'll be happy to lend a hand. But I can neatly summarize this episode in one quick swoop: "When one comrade must bid farewell, another follows in his place, and the cycle begins again."

Sorry about forgetting you, even though you're my best friend. But my memory is still... pretty hazy. Asougi: We have no choice but to retrieve everything that you've lost. Leave it to me. You can trust me on this. Naruhodo: Asougi...! (You're such a dependable guy...) ~ Adventure of the Unbreakable Speckled Band ~ [Naruhodo wakes up feeling groggy and confused, and when he comes to, he realizes he's in handcuffs.] Asougi: You never seem to learn, do you. Naruhodo: Forget that! I'm just a simple guy from a humble island country! Why am I on board a ship heading off to England!? Asougi: I brought you along. We could study the laws of their country together. Though, since you didn't quite qualify for the transfer program, you had to become a "stowaway". Naruhodo: "Stowaway"... Asougi: To keep you hidden, I even feigned ignorance. I stuffed you in my luggage and shut you into my closet. Naruhodo: ...And thus, I became stuck at a murder scene. Asougi: You're the kind of man who matched quite well your "hideout". Hahahahaha!! Naruhodo: (Yeah, and it's mainly thanks to you...) Asougi: And so, aboard that ship, you had fateful encounters with two others. First was the world-renowned Great Detective, Sherlock Holmes. You worked with this man to deduce the truth behind this incident. Naruhodo: (I'm not sure why...) (But I feel like it's better that I don't remember this guy.) Asougi: And there is one other... ???: You mean me, correct? Naruhodo: (Wah... Someone else I don't know showed up...) Asougi: She is the most dependable person you can rely on from here. Surely, you haven't forgotten the "impact" of your first encounter, have you? Susato: P-please don't bring it up again, Kazuma-sama! It's a long story... Naruhodo: That sure is... quite the "impact". ...In more ways than one. Susato: ...I said it was a long story. Naruhodo: ...Huh? Where's Asougi? Susato: He left the rest of your adventure to me and departed. And he left this to you. Naruhodo: "Karuma"... Is it really okay that I take this? Susato: He expressly entrusted it to you in particular. Naruhodo: (My best friend, Asougi Kazuma... a man who burns bright like a flame.) Susato: Well then, shall we be off? Next up in Episode 3, our adventure takes us to the Great British Empire! Naruhodo: ...Uh, yeah... ... Susato: Um, is something the matter? Naruhodo: (Umm...)
