Kono Manga ga Sugoi WEB announced today they'll post an interview with Takumi next month (part one is scheduled for November 22). The interview will take the form of a discussion between Takumi and "a certain game-loving person you know from television, movies and the stage". It'll probably be mostly about DGS(2), but who know what Takumi might talk about since it's the first interview since he's returned from his post DGS2 break (at least, it's the first we know that is planned).

Before it was edited, the article explicitly mentioned Takumi's discussion partner would be Jin Katagiri of the comedy duo Rahmens. Not sure if the article was edited because they just wanted to keep it a surprise a bit longer, or whether there'll be a change in discussion partner.

The first part of this interview discussion was posted today, but it is barely more than meaningless marketing talk about both DGS2 and the 3DS release of AA4, so only a few tidbits:

- For DGS, they actually contacted the family of Natsume Soseki for permission to use him in the game.

- Takumi often hear people comment that Ace Attorney is almost like a work of fantasy, to which he says that's exactly how he intends these games to be. The trials in his games are not based on the real world at all, but on his idea, his image of how he thinks a trial should be and go. It's a world where entertaining the player goes before anything else.

- For AA4, they even visited the Ministry of Justice in connection to the Lay Judge System, to see if they couldn't do some kind of collaboration project. But the people working on the Lay Judge System were mostly ex-prosecutors, and when they explained what kind of game Ace Attorney was to them, those people naturally said that prosecutors never do such a sloppy job.

The second part was almost more boring than the first. They talk a bit about the upcoming second season of 99.9% (a comedy-mystery drama about laywers), where Katagiri will play a role. Takumi says he tries to never watch legal dramas etc. when he's working on a scenario, afraid of being influenced by them (and simply seeing something better than his own work), which is why he hadn't seen the first season of 99.9% in real-time when it was first broadcast (even though it had an Ace Attorney reference at one moment, which they later returned with a 99.9% in the anime series of Ace Attorney).
