One of our affiliates, Gyakusheets, is also holding a contest, for performances of Ace Attorney music. Record yourself and share it with the fnadom! Check out the details on their site.

Also, if you're interested in preordering the translated manga being put out by Del Rey, you can do so over at their website. Remember, this is not the same as the manga CR has hosted.

So... what are you suposed to do? Play sheet music?
Man! I would have loved to sing a song from the musical or something like that. ("Rookie Killer" FTW! XD)
Maybe I'll have to pull out Jam Sessions and see what I can do with that...

...The cover is different than the Japanese cover?

I just bought the Gyakuten Saiban Manga 1-3 whist I was in Japan; is this not the same series? With the Spiderboy something or other and the case with the wind chimes? I don't recall Godot being in any of the stories, so he wouldn't be on the cover....?
Or is this the official doujin collection? I have the Mitsurugi Reiji anthology; is the Del-Rey one that book collection?

Yeah, it appears to be the official anthologies, NOT the comic CR did.

I guess I need to whip out the old theremin and show these punks what's what.

First I need to buy an old theremin though.

I assume for the contest I don't have to use the exact sheet music from the site? I'd really like to do Maya's theme but I don't play string instruments... but I think my dad and I could do a woodwind arrangement or something.

Or maybe I can get my dad to do Fragrance of Dark Coffee, since he plays Sax much better than I do. :godot:

A casebook? I'm curious. I wish they had a better description of just what exactly it pertains rather than, well, you know. That.

From assumptions alone, it just goes over the cases of the Phoenix arc? Would we expect some official artwork perhaps? It just may be worth the money, but I wouldn't want to pay for something unless I know exactly what to expect.

No no no, don't be mislead! If what we know about it already is true, it's just translations of the original Doujin Anthologies put out by Capcom - short comics submitted by fans that Capcom slapped together and sold (still sell) on their site.

I believe one of them features Edgeworth fighting a bear...

That's the Edgeworth one I have, that's not the 3 book one by a single artist.

Just a quick clarification about the gyakusheets contest (as I have no FTP access to update the site at present) - the only things I'm not accepting are original compositions and performances created using sampling software such as Jam Session or Garage Band ('cause then it's the midi doing all the work). If it's a PW piece and you're performing it on a musical instrument (piano, electric guitar, recorder, whatever you like) then that's all I ask - you can link a bunch of pieces together in a medley and you don't even need to use sheet music from gyakusheets if you've learned it by ear.

Knock yourself out!

What about the DS game JamSessions?
As in the one where I have to strum on the touch screen and press the button for the chord I want?

Uhhhhh, you can do that kind of thing with that program? O_O Props to you for having the talent! (Best I could manage was the Blue Badger theme on the badges in Pokemon Pearl XD) Unfortunately I can't accept an entry created with that for the contest because while it does require a good degree of mastery to be able to do something like that, it's still a sound created using pre-generated samples. But it's still pretty neat - the aim of the contest is to encourage more fan recordings in general, so I'll tell ya what... record it, and I'll upload it to gyakusheets anyway. It's the kind of thing that's too nifty to be just a Megaupload link that'll eventually get lost on CR or LJ ^^

I wish I could... but I haven't been able to find actual chords for the songs, just tabs.
If I had chords I could.
I guess it's just not meant to be... I don't have any other instruments I can play.
*wishes he could play "Fragrance of Dark Coffee" and "Steel Samurai Theme"*
