If u would match up the characters from hotel dusk to characters from pw by personalities how who u make it? i think we can get one down really quick:

Louis and Larry are pretty much opposites, dude.

This won't end quite well, because the Hotel Dusk characters have a LOT more subtlety and layers than pretty much everyone in the Phoenix Wright series.

It was made to be that way; PW's characters are supposed to be memorable and wild caricatures, whilst HD's are supposed to grow and mature over the course of the game, much like the "mystery novel" the game totes itself as.

Larry is wild, prone to over-emotion, and a pathetic loser. And annoying. But at least he has a good heart.
Louis is a former punk who is lazy and loves to joke, but proves quite capable of assisting Hyde in his investigation, and goes at great lengths (and puts himself in danger) for his old... cop-buddy's sake.

I mean, what's next, Wendy Oldbag and Helen Parker, because they are old ladies?

Oldbag and Parker, not really. Grossburg and Parker on the other hand, I think there's an easier connection. Older, gentle people, who were successful in their respected fields. They sold out because of selfish motives, (Money/Limelight), through their own paths realize what they did was wrong. And in the long run, their respective quests are for repentance.

Hyde and Jake Marshal. Both have thrown their lives away to learn the truth behind how someone close to them were lost. Also seem to be selfish, and don't get along well with other people. Also seem to like strong drinks.

Jeff and Richard both seem to be snotty knowitals, in school, think themselves the toughguys, and break down like pansies.

Louis is Larry with much more personality.

I see a bit of Grossberg in Summer, too. Both of them can talk for hours, and both of them are cowards who betrayed someone for money or fame.

However, Summer doesn't have what Grossberg has. Grossberg's awesome, Summer's not.

EDIT: Oh, and both ended up blackmailed.

Mila and Vera are quite similar, yes?

Also, Rosa and Plum.

I agree with Jeff and Wellington, & Jake with Hyde.

Rosa reminds me of Plum Kitaki, but only because they kind of look similar and have an overpowering attitude.

Kevin Woodward reminds me a bit of Hobohodou -- both lost their jobs and are now single dads wandering around aimlessly with their daughters, struggling to make ends meet and searching for the people & answers they can't rest until they find.
