One of those rivals is a prosecutor, like Franziska in AAI1 and Sebastian(Yumihiko) in AAI2. Another rival isn't prosecutor but has very high authority, and their purpose is same as said prosecutor rival, Lang in AAI1 and Justine(Mikagami) in AAI2.
So, non-prosecutor rival was Interpol Agent(similar to Detective but above), Judge, and I'm very curious who's next.
Not defense attorney however. They don't have much power.

I think dimentiorules means your standard LAPD detective.
I'd like it if the detective investigating was one of Edgeworth's higher-ups, although if GK3 was set in the same time as Dual Destnies, that won't be possible.
