Hopefully they will diss the "villain from the first case reappears in the last case" thing this time.

If they "got away with it" it would undo the positive view of the Jurist system wouldnt it?

It will be Ema Skye or the Judge because throughout the series we have had the corrupt prosecutor and corrupt defense attorney.

I'd like to see Valant as the final villain. Since he had such a terrible outcome at the end of GS4, I'd like to see him slowly succumb to the devil inside him, and eventually become morally evil, fraternizing with Apollo, Trucy and Phoenix while plotting to kill Trucy and gain the rights to the Gramarye secrets.

I'd like to see something like Harvey Dent in the Black Knight- We know Phoenix is corruptible, he forged evidence and plays poker for a living. They can have Edgeworth kill Trucy and Iris and Maya for some legitimate reason, and then Phoenix will want revenge, and even better, he can be wounded in the process. I don't think it will be Phoenix himself (although that would be epic). Will it be a new villain we dont know or someone linked to the other games?

I reckon it would be epic if it was some random no-one ever expects to reappear from PW 1-3 and is evil, like the following;

I think the last villain of GS5 will be a prosecutor that's actually the head of an organization known to provide forged evidence to defense/prosecuting attoneys in exchange for money/law help. It will also be revealed that Damon Gant and Manfred von Karma were stationed in law-involved position for total control.

Hopefully they'll finally have a killer who absolutely NO ONE suspects.

I want a villain who sets up a huge xanatos gambit, but dies beforehand (intentionally or not), leaving all of this chaotic mess in their wake, with you the player unable to ever really get them for it. Especially if they were an early victim. Like, the first or second case's murderer kills this person because they think they can prevent something bad, but only end up further helping the person. The entire game ends up just being this huge convoluted fuckup caused by the big vaillain and they get away with it, their ultimate plan thwarted or not. I think somebody has mentioned something like this before. It's a cool idea, but I don't know if the development team could actually do it well. Their "getting away with it" might also impose a problem on the game's philosophy, but whatevs

I think that it'll be someone new. All of the epic villains have either done the whole "I'mma show up in two cases as the murderer cause I'm just that evil" (therefore, pretty overkill to have them be a villain again) or have probably been given the death penalty already because of their crimes.
