it will only work on texas instruments calculators that run ti83/84 basic programs (or emulated ti83 perhaps...)
EDIT: I'm kinda hypocritical apparently, but karma had given me the time to fix all foreseeable problems and I have a close to working model for the next release.
I will hopefully have downtime in a class (end of year I'll have a LOT more downtime) and I can hopefully get done at least another release soon.
done:
-multiple (completely debugged) options for pausing
-return variable set up (for objection, hold it)
-incomplete setup for cross examination (up to 9 statements, str2-str0)
-basic (no GUI, just default menu) court records - objects/people, descriptions, and graphics (later) all user defined to -custom court records
-anytime access to court records and back
todo:
-complete and test cross examination
-appropriate hold it/objection script for statements
-demo court records layout (for simple user pasting)
-more testing/compatibility testing
-original speed (modify casemaker layout back to original)
the user will have to define 3 more variables throughout their scripts, appropriately, for cross examination (and some need definition at the beginning at their script, to avoid unwanted cross examination launching.
to better explain, the court record will be a separate, custom program, per script. the user will need to define in that program what their objects and descriptions will be... and it requires some basic programming knowledge of how many characters can fit in a space, and how many lines can be placed before a pause and stuff. it'll be in a tutorial. you can have unlimited object or characters as long as they are all defined, and a simple variable in your program will alter the court records current inventory (ie, whenever they get something added to the court records, the value changes, and based off of that, the right objects are displayed in the court records)
cross examination will take loops, declarations, and definitions for returned variables, using if, then, and else statements to deal with them. so some programming will be needed for that, but not much. will be tutorialized too.
when it's released, there could be an incompatibility problem if I have already modified my program to use some more sprites if they aren't in the release...
well here's a question, what buttons do you want for court records and hold it? "2nd" and "alpha" buttons are most commonly used for calculator games, but it can be anything. (also, enter or right buttons go forward in text, left goes back in text for cross examination)
