Since I couldn't fit it into the topic title, this thread will have spoilers for all US-released Ace Attorney games, which currently includes the Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, and Miles Edgeworth ones. But no spoilers from any games not yet released in the US. And I totally never knew we could not create polls here.O_O I mostly mean actual secret identities, as opposed to a character suddenly switching attitudes, but you can comment on those too. Anyway, here are the options I thought of, though I guess there's nothing to stop you from coming up with your own:

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
-Old man turns out to be Yanni Yogi.

Phoenix Wright: Justice For All
-Ini Miney is discovered to actually be her sister, Mimi.
-Bellboy/Butler turns out to be assassin Shelley de Killer.
-Space alien security person turns out to be Oldbag.

Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations
-Melissa Foster revealed to be Dahlia Hawethorne.
-Victim Elise turns out to be Mia and Maya's missing mother, Misty Fey.
-"Iris" who takes the stand and is discovered to actually be a channeled Dahlia.
-Channeled Dahlia revealed to be a possessed Maya Fey.

Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
-Victim Shadi Smith is actually Trucy's missing father, Zak Gramarye.
-Lamiroir turns out to be Trucy and Apollo's mother, Thalassa, who was thought to be dead.

Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney Investigations
-Agent Shi-na discovered to be Callisto Yew.
-Callisto Yew, Byrne Faraday, and Tyrell Badd revealed to be Great Theif.

Ferdie, I want this to be a topic where everyone can discuss freely, without spoiler tags. They can be convenient, but they can also be frustrating, especially since this is a topic for talking about things that are spoilerish. I could not fit specific spoiler warnings for Ace Attorney Investigations and Apollo Justice, as well as Phoenix Wright, so I made sure to warn that there would be spoilers for the whole Ace Attorney series at the very beginning to the topic.

Then, why didn't you just move the topic or something?-.- This is getting ridiculous. I want this topic to be for ALL the games out in the US. The topic clearly states there are spoilers for Ace Attorney Investigations, so what's the problem? Is there nowhere for this to be talked about? We don't have a general discussion section for the series, and most of the reveals are from Phoenix Wright. The topic is kinda ruined now. Might as well just lock it.-.- At any rate, you could have at least talked to me before you cut stuff out that I worked hard to type up.

Depends on what you mean by shocking -- I figured out most of the ones I hadn't been spoiled on well before they were presented, but I was still impressed by a bunch. Like the Dahlia swap was obvious to me in the first conversation with Phoenix after the quake, but I thought it was well-done -- I was bouncing with glee waiting to just lay it out in court. (And I think you can argue Phoenix gets it right then as well, since he stops being so worried about Maya, though he doesn't say anything specific.)

I was spoiled on AJ, so I'm not sure how it would have felt. I wish I hadn't been -- I tried to avoid quite as many spoilers for AA:I, and mostly succeeded. (See under cut.)

Old man = Yanni Yogi: Obvious
Ini Miney = Mimi Miney: Best one, by far. I did NOT see that coming.
Bellboy/Butler = Shelley DeKiller: Obvious
Security = Oldbag: Not that much of a surprise...
Mellissa Foster = Dahlia Hawthorne: EXTREMELY obvious
Elise Deaxnim = Misty Fey: Didn't see it coming. 4th best one
"Iris" Hawthorne = Dahlia Hawthorne: Didn't see it coming. 3rd best one
Dahlia Hawthorne = Maya Fey: Not too obvious, but I saw it coming.
Shadi Smith = Zak Gramarye: Realized it as soon as I saw Zak Gramarye.
Lamiroir = Thalassa Gramarye: Didn't see it coming. 5th best one

Out of the ones listed, I'd probably say Yatagarasu's true identity. Most of the others I either saw coming or wasn't emotionally invested in enough to be 'shocked' when it came out. (Elise = Misty might have been more suprising if the pendant she dropped wasn't filed into the Court Record as KURAIN MASTER'S TALISMAN. Kind of a not-so-subtle hint there.)

Most suprising reveal for me was Iris as Morgan's daughter. Now THAT came completely out of left field.
