Eat You Alive by Limp Bizkit
Um...WELL, it's pretty obvious from the lyrics what it's about. And on a completely different note, I have no idea why I'm listening to this, because I hate LB and this song disturbs the fuck out of me.

Spoiler: Lyrics...you might be disturbed
Hey you
Miss I don’t know what-the-fuck your name is
I’m drawn to you, something’s magnetic here
If i could approach you
Or even get close to the scent that you left behind
I’d be fine
No doubt that
You bring out the animal inside

[Chorus]
I’d eat you alive (x4)

Hey you
Miss too good to look my way and that’s cool
You want nothing at all to do with me
But i want you, ain’t nothing wrong with wanting you
‘ cause i’m a man and i can think what the hell i want
You got that straight
No doubt that
I’d love to sniff on them panties now

[Chorus]

I’m sorry, so sorry (damn you’re so hot)
Your beauty is so vain (damn you’re so hot)
It drives me, yes it drives me (damn you’re so hot)
Absolutely insane

I just wanna look at you, i just wanna look at you
I just wanna look at you all day
There ain’t nothing wrong, no
There ain’t nothing with that

Once you seep in under my skin
There’s nothing, there’s nothing in this world
That could wash you away

Once you seep in under my skin
There’s nothing, there’s nothing in this world
That could wash you away

I’m sorry, so sorry (damn you’re so hot)
Your beauty is so vain (damn you’re so hot)
It drives me, yes it drives me (damn you’re so hot)
Absolutely insane

[Chorus]

I'm finishing up Stars' In Our Bedroom After the War. It is gorgeously amazing and easily one of the best albums of 2007.

Life 2: The Unhappy Ending is the only song ever (or the only one I can remember) that makes me teary every time I hear it, it's a really fantastic song. The whole album is a very emotional affair really and it ends on the most upliftingly fantastic note, which is beyond beautiful.

It is very close to being a perfect album and I do not say this often.

yes yes yes HH-chan yes oh my god i love stars
oh my god they are playing my city tomorrow night but i am not seeing them ffffffffff

i am at the end of Tom Waits' Mule Variations. i love this album. Bone Machine and Big in Japan are excellent records as well, but i feel like too many people overlook Mule. it really strikes me as his music maturing; his beautifully gravelly voice deeper and more subdued than ever before, as well as older, turn-of-life lyrics showing up on it. there are certain tracks i love - Pony for being beautifully sad, What's He Building? for being a traditional Waits song about a seedy character, and Come On Up To The House as a great, uplifting nigh-spiritual southern anthem. it's really one of my favorite albums of all time.

"This world is not my home
I'm just a passin' thru
Come on up to the house"

I always find DJ Shadow's tracks to be enthralling. His interpretation of "Six Day War" is deep and hypnotic. The synth positively gleams, like the surface of a lake at night.

Check it out:

Jesus of Suburbia by Green Day
I have to say that this is what really made American Idiot. Rock opera or just bullshitting, the smooth transitions between parts is really good. Unfortunately, the melodies sound so similar to other songs on the album that it's kind of annoying. :\ Great song, nonetheless.
Spoiler: Lyrics
[Part I: Jesus of Suburbia ]

I'm the son of rage and love
The Jesus of suburbia
From the bible of none of the above
On a steady diet of
Soda pop and Ritalin
No one ever died for my sins in hell
As far as I can tell
At least the ones I got away with

But there's nothing wrong with me
This is how I'm supposed to be
In a land of make believe
That don't believe in me

Get my television fix
Sitting on my crucifix
The living room of my private womb
While the moms and Brads are away
To fall in love and fall in debt
To alcohol and cigarettes
And Mary Jane to keep me insane
And doing someone else's cocaine

[Part II: City Of The Damned]

At the center of the Earth
In the parking lot
Of the 7-11 were I was taught
The motto was just a lie
It says "home is were your heart is"
But what a shame
Cause everyone's heart
Doesn't beat the same
We're beating out of time

City of the dead
At the end of another lost highway
Signs misleading to nowhere
City of the damned
Lost children with dirty faces today
No one really seems to care

I read the graffiti
In the bathroom stall
Like the holy scriptures of a shopping mall
And so it seemed to confess
It didn't say much
But it only confirmed that
The center of the earth
Is the end of the world
And I could really care less

[Part III: I don't care]

I don't care if you don't
I don't care if you don't care [x5]

Everyone is so full of shit
Burn and raised by hipocrites
Hearts recycled but never saved
From the cradle to the grave
We are the kids of war and peace
From Anaheim to the middle east
We are the stories and disciples
Of the Jesus of Suburbia
Land of make believe
And it don't believe in me
Land of make believe
And I don't believe
And I don't care!

[Part IV: Dearly beloved]

Dearly beloved are you listening?
I can't remember a word that you were saying
Are we demented or am I disturbed?
The space that's in between insane and insecure
Oh therapy, can you please fill the void?
Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed?
Nobody's perfect and I stand accused
For lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse

[Part V: Tales of another broken home]

To live and not to breathe
Is to die in tragedy
To run, to run away
To find what you believe
And I leave behind
This hurricane of fucking lies
I lost my faith to this
This town that don't exist

So I run
I run away
To the light of masochists
And I leave behind
This hurricane of fucking lies
And I walked this line
A million and one fucking times
But not this time

I don't feel any shame
I won't apologize

When there ain't nowhere you can go
Running away from pain
When you've been victimized
Tales from another broken home

I'm listening to ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead's second most recent album, Worlds Apart, and crying mentally over how such a potentially fantastic band has fallen, resorting to mocking MTV and whining about 9/11 and how soccer moms suck. I'm only able to listen to it because they still at least sound good, if you ignore the lyrics.

But still, way to go guys, you're all amazing multi-instrumentalists with great power and you waste it on mall-punk-making-fun-of-mall-punk. Worst part is, their next album was even worse. None of the songs were connected musically, they did a cover of a great Guided by Voices song that doesn't suit their style, and they outright resort to making bad commercial sounding rock. There's a really sad video out there of Trail of Dead performing one of the songs of it on TV. They have two drummers and a mess load of guys doing their thing, but they only need like three people to accomplish everything in the song, and every other member just sitting there and trying to hold back as much as they can, doing nothing, wistfully hoping that maybe their next album will sell more because of it. Goddamn, you don't waste band members like that...

At least I'll forever have Source Tags & Codes, their magnum opus and work of genius. Maybe their next album will return to its great style, maybe...

I only have two 'Smith albums: Get Your Wings and Toys In The Attic. I bought Wings because of "Same Old Song and Dance" but the whole album has grown on me. I bought Toys because I heard it was really good. Which it is, although I initially dismissed it as an overhyped, overrated 8-track recording.
