Every now and then I'll post a quick bit of a review about an album that is very good, marvelous, incredible, amazing, or otherwise of very high quality. No numbering, I have learned that is a bad idea. Understand: every single album I will post here is something I want people to listen to, meaning only things I hold very highly will be posted at all. Basically, every album is a winner.

Another thing I have learned in my anime topic: I prefer my reviews quick and short, informative, and not dragging. It allows for me to feel comfortable (writing PARAGRAPHS for something you plan to update a lot is hard) and update far more frequently.

Tell me if you'd like me to write more about something or if you would like to request more information on an album.

Album: Visible Forms (2006 release)

Visible Forms is cold and dying, freezing in the snow, but too lethargic to care. It's comfortable in how uncomfortable it is. Clean and sterile female vocals are soft, lyrics are bleak, and instrumentation is both sparse in life and incredibly emotive. Excellent use in cello.

i've been looking forward to this :phoenix:

going to give that album a good listen right now

i've listened through the whole album once now, i like it

it feels so empty, but so full at the same time. the instrumentation is soothing, especially the brass and strings (including piano), it evokes feelings of desolation, tranquility, and solace. it's hard to describe.

Just finished listening to the whole album

Very lovely♥

It's hard to describe but, listening feels like I'm sinking slowly but deeply into another world.

I just listened to the album. Your review was spot on, I don't think anyone could have described that album better-- especially in such a short paragraph. I've never heard of the artist, but I loved the songs. My personal favourites from the album were "Six Yields" and "Plain Pieces." I'm looking forward to more reviews.

My favorite musical collective ever is Acid Mothers Temple and I'm going to do a bit of an all-around post, covering all of the different bands that fall under the Acid Mothers moniker and the other various offshoots; mini-reviews for what I consider the most accessible/best albums for each respective band.

It's taking me a bit, so that's why I haven't updated recently. It'll be worth it though.

OK, "Against the Grain"-Bad Religion 1990. I want you to review it because at the end of the song "21st Century Digital Boy" they reference "21st Schizoid Man" a song which I know you like. That's really the only reason.
