Thanks to the sharp eye of dannycon739, we've caught what appears to be, tentative at least, box art for Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, off of Gamestop UK's website. There's a 404 on the full sized version so we're kinda limited with regards to analysis.
But here's my thoughts.
The images used in the box art were all present on the Japanese Teaser site or press kits around that time. The exception to this is the logo. I don't know enough about the Layton series to say one way or the other on their logo, but for Ace Attorney, I'm unaware of any English version of the logo, where 'Ace' and 'Attorney' are all on the same line.
Curiously, there's an absence of Level-5's logo.
While I cannot vouch if the box art render is cannon or not, I will say whoever made it is not a two bit hack.

What's more interesting to me is when Gamestop put up that listing. I first heard about it a week ago or so, but figured it was just a placeholder Gamestop put up not long after the initial announcement. If this page was made more recently, that would be somewhat more telling.

And repeat: It's too early for boxart, seeing as there were no overseas announcement. Although I don't go one the internet as much, I would have heard at least one tidbit of this from my brother, who I've had on the lookout for news.
I also want to note that the genre that they placed the game in is "Driving"... really?

Haven't you heard? The game is just a Crazy Taxi reskin with some story elements added in...
*sarcasm*But yeah... I don't believe that is the real box art.

Phoenix is close to 6ft, Maya is 5ft, yet in the boxart, it looks like Maya would be 1 inch shorter than Phoenix, excluding the hair.
