There are some things in Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney that are obvious setups for puzzles. There emphasis on the bells in the first trailer, the odd hats, and the emblem for instance.

And in the current trailer we have this...

Me thinks we're intended to be misled that this is a long nosed cloaked person with a staff. But I'm not viewing what the glass is hiding. Anyone else wanna take a stab?

I see a Pterodactyl holding a croissant.

In all seriousness though, the right hand side of the top of the staff looks like a profile of someone wearing a hood, you can see the nose and lips quite clearly.

Going on the "face in the staff analogy"

The 'old hag' face could be....a wing?

The brown bit of the staff might not be a hood...it might be hair...like golden brown hair that trails *rather oddly* down her body and she clasps her hair in her hands while looking to the side while a wing extends from the other side.

It looks like an Angel, the staff is the face in profile with brown hair and the old woman with a crooked nose is the wing. Not sure what the hands are since they still look like hands just playing with her hair.
