I quite enjoyed it as well, but in at least half the games I was turned off by that typical out-of-nowhere ending twist, this one as well.
Spoiler: ending
when that seamonster showed up I felt like Layton had finally turned into a true Disney movie
It was just a bit too much for my taste, or too cheesy, but that's not to say I didn't find it satisfying :P

I think I enjoyed Specter's Call the best of the 'new' trilogy. The selection of the puzzles and the story were the most appealing to me. I didn't really enjoy Miracle Mask (puzzles/story), and Azran was mostly fun and it has the added 'end-of-trilogy' value, but the middle part is a bit weak because of the set-up of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed The mask of miracle. I was presently surprised by the "indiana jones" vibe I got

from Layton and Randall's travels into the Ruins of Akbadain. I found the mummies to be extremely annoying even if I did have a hard time getting through them.

I am so very much looking forward to the next game. and I really wish February would get here faster.
