So it's a bit early to be making this topic, but I have to wait for my laundry to finish in the wash so I can put it in the dryer before I go to bed, so I may as well dash this out with the time.

Would folks be interested in a stream of DGS as I play through it? I've got the setup for it, and I've streamed 3DS games in the past. At present my plan is to try and get through cases one and two on release day (assuming case two doesn't wind up being AAI2-2 length), and then just play as I have time, so it wouldn't be super-scheduled.

Some caveats:

I would not be talking over the stream. This is both so folks can hear the gameplay and because I don't think I'd have much to add.
I would not be livetranslating. I'm afraid my Japanese just isn't at that skill level yet. If someone in the chat wanted to translate, fantastic! And I'd probably explain the high-level of stuff going on in the chat. But livetranslating's a bit above my level.
These streams would be archived, but probably not exported to YouTube. Capcom's come down hard on full gameplay clips of AAI2 and DD, and I'd rather not poke the beast again.
This would not be an "official C-R thing" - I'm just talking personally here.

I would be, but I'm hoping Capcom pull their finger out and localise the game worldwide (or Europe and the US at least). So, in theory, I'm more than interested, although I'm pretty weak on my Japanese as well.

This would be welcome. I'm planning to get the game by release date, but in any case it might be delayed, I can refer to this too. I may even help with on-the-spot translation as long as you don't skip through the text too quickly. Of course, I won't translate line by line; just comment on things and only translate certain lines if I need to share something.

Most importantly, what time will you be streaming? I run on PST.

Here's hoping to an official localization that settles the question once and for all of the existence of Meiji Japanifornia.

That's the reason I'm a bit reluctant to watch, if this isn't the case. Besides, even if they did localise, it'd be interesting to see what changes they make.

It sucks! I had watched one of last night's stream and when I tried to watch another, your account is already suspended. :viola:

Capcom's a little weird when it comes to AA gameplay videos, particularly shortly after release. I recall with AA5 and AAI2 alike, videos of standard gameplay/full case segments were taken down, while videos of spoilers only (breakdown collections, etc.) stayed up.

So, how far has this stream gone? I blazed through case 3 last night. Stayed up late, I did.

Interesting how the cases go in this game. It's a given that the first case has no investigation, but the second has no trial, while the third has no investigation. I suppose it isn't until the 4th case that we combine the two. And Holmes better show up again this time... or at least let Iris join our investigation.

So how long did it take you to complete the first three cases? Famitsu said it took them 30 hours to complete the game, so cases 4 and 5 should be very meaty.

Hm... I started since the morning of 7/8 (it being the morning after in Japan), and I've been playing the game these past few days for about, eh, 4 hours each case (not all at once, of course). That leaves me with about 12-13 hours into the game. I'm apparently only half way, then.

I've started on case 4 now, and there's going to be both an investigation phase and court phase, so I expect this case and the next will be pretty meaty.

But, my God. That one segment with the stereoscope exercise killed my eyes. I was already tired this morning. Now I'll have to go through the rest of the game blind.

The DLC's not really "cases", so I'm not sure how interesting it'd be. It's more like PLvsPW's bonus episodes, but no puzzles.

Based on what I've seen of the first episode, it's quite like the Sinful 7 countdown promo; Ryunosuke's put on trial again. It's interesting seeing Asogi's animations from the prosecution's bench.
