Where do we go when Capcom attacks Twitch, Youtube, and Nico Douga? To a Chinese video hosting site, of course. Where else could I find full episodes of my Jap dramas without the legal repercussions?

Just kidding. I don't support piracy, but sometimes, not everyone gets access to the official stuff. There must be alternatives.

If any of them become broken links, let me know! This isn't the only complete playthrough of DGS I found on there, but it's the earliest posted (on the release date) and has no voiced commentary.

To clear the video of scrolling comments, just click the text bubble icon in the lower right corner.

The video can be enlarged to theater-mode with the TV icon in the lower right or to full-screen with the icon that looks like a radioactive warning sign. Click them again to return to normal.

Congratulations. None will probably watch any of these. The clips have Chinese subtitles while the game itself has Japanese texts. None will be able to understand a thing till they learnt both or any one of these languages.

That's commitment. Even dowolf must've taken months to translate AAI2. Not that that makes him any worse. Dowolf was awesome. He did the impossible. Now I just ned to learn Chinese. :gant:

Seriously, though. Is the translation any good or is it like google translate? I'm in shock that anyone could translate it in less than a month!... But if it is proper, nice one uploader. That's dedication. Now we need one for English.

I've only skimmed through some segments of the videos, but based on what I've seen and people's reactions, those are legit subtitles. It also goes line by line, so it's not just a summary of what's going on. I don't know how the uploader translated the puns or jokes, though.

As much as I would like to lend another hand and translate from either language, that's too much work for me alone. Then again, lots of people watched Bolt's stream without knowing a thing of Japanese. I'm just providing an alternate option for those who may have missed the first two cases that Bolt had posted on twitch, but was removed.

If anyone finds a link to an English-translated playthrough, let us know at once!

If I recall correctly, some of Bolt's videos on Twitch were taken down, and I don't have high hopes that Hitbox remain lenient. I need the videos for research purposes read:making fanart so having multiple sites I can watch is pretty useful.

And yeah they're very meticulous, they put subtitles for everything. Is the box at right chat box? I'm curious to know what Chinese fans think about DGS. If only I can read Chinese!

By the way, the first video is apparently broken. I can't watch it despite waiting + pressing f5 a lot.

EDIT: I watched a bit, apparently the flying texts are comments. They can be disabled but it's kinda fun to see viewer's reactions (everyone suffers when *spoilers8 happened....) :larry:

Is the video working for you now? Every time I've checked it, it worked fine.

Wow, thanks! I've been wanting to watch the game beyond case 2 for a while now, but Hitbox just doesn't want to cooperate with me for some reason. This, however, works like a charm!

Thanks so much for digging this up! There are a few things I wanted to rewatch in case 2 that I couldn't find anywhere. It's nice to have watch when you have a list of the testimonies and plots from tumblr to clear up what's going on.

Ace Pointer, you're right that English subs would be much more useful than Chinese subs of a Japanese game, but you still don't need to be rude in pointing it out, and preemptively apologizing for being rude doesn't excuse being rude. If you ever find yourself writing "Sorry if you get offended," it's probably better to instead just rephrase what you wrote to not be offensive. (Honestly, I think you should've just cut out the "Congratulations" and the post would be okay.)

Anyway, time to move on.

Nice find Rubia, and thanks for sharing! (Although obviously I don't personally need 'em xP)

In the lower right corner, there's what looks like an empty text bubble. It's automatically highlighted (darkened, actually), so just click it off.

It looks like this to me, the site loaded but the video not. Clicking on the play button didn't work, I also can't enlarge/ seek the video.

I can help translate the Chinese, but if I'm translating, I might as well translate directly from the Japanese.

I never said I wouldn't do it, guys, but I'd rather not do it alone. Dowolf on YT was impressive to translate GK2 all on his/her own. Unfortunately, I don't have all the time in the world by now. If someone (or two) could lend me a hand with this stuff, I'd appreciate it!

That could work actually. Say, doing what dowolf did, but with maybe 10-20 people rather than just 1? Although I guess that's basically the fan translation team, and they seem to be doing well on the implementation. GK2 was fun to insert the text, though. It allowed people who didn't understand Japanese to help out with the translation.
