I wonder if Athena will have any other role and significance to the plot than just assisting and using the mood matrix. I doubt she'll be playable because on the newest update of the website it says that only Phoenix and Apollo can do the thought route/revisualization. I did hear the new version of her objection theme though.

Not sure - but I'd bet on it not being the focus this time around. Trucy hardly gets a look in on the extended trailer, and I'd think they'd give her a bit more of the spotlight if they wanted to drop the bombshell. Maybe next game, after all, this game does seem like a second attempt at passing the baton to Apollo after Yamazaki saw that popularity poll.


My question is whether we know yet how many cases will be in the game? I'm hoping for five, but a proper five, not a DD style cop-out.

Based on the two protagonists in two countries approach 5 (real) cases makes the most sense. Phoenix and Apollo each get two full cases and then they'll combine forces in the last case. Although I think the Khura'in side gets a little bit more screen time to offset the longer cases 2 and 4 for Apollo compared to cases 1 and 3 for Phoenix.

The thing I'm confused about is the fact that the trailer shows what is undoubtedly going to be the final case happening in japan, but then earlier it also hints that Apollo will get to Khura'in, I think, or at least, it says the stories of the two parts intersect and then shows something happening in Khura'in.

So I guess we have case 2 and 3 for goofy filler-esque stuff and then case 1 is Khura'in, case 4 is perhaps both protagonists in Khura'in and then back home for the fifth. In the second case, I really hope they can make Trucy get under your skin. This is their chance at making her feel slightly relevant and even as a one-off you can do a lot of things. Look at 5-S.

Also, man, please say the final case is a full case and not just one investigation and one extra-long trial. I don't want another game where case 4 and 5 feel like they could be merged into one.

Yes, I'll be streaming the game day one and through the rest of the week. (I'm traveling from that Sunday onwards, so unfortunately the stream will have to stop then regardless of how far we get.)

Not long, I would guess. Given I'll be streaming the first case at 8 AM PT/11 AM PT, I don't think you need to worry about missing the NBA finals...
