Over a penalty. That's messed up,man. That's messed up. But I feel that that just puts him higher on my villains list,because him extracting revenge on Edgworth was so convoluted-just because his perfect record was broken. Truly paints him as a great villain.

He was in a state of absolutely pissed off (even more so from randomly getting shot by an elevator) and in that state was presented with a weapon and a perfect opportunity? Irrational, maybe, but I wouldn't say "stupid", it was in the heat of the moment. Had he carefully laid out a plan to kill him for the sake of his perfect record... that would have been stupid.

But yeah,this is also my reasoning as to Kristoph's motive. Since Zak denied him a case that would've made him famous and instead gave it to resident bluffer Phoenix Wright,he was so mad that he used the evidence he had forged to implicate Wright instead. And went to insane measures in terms of hiding himself,forging the evidence,and killing Zak seven years later. Even more insane in the membrane,man.

Well, when I saw Manfred slamming his head against the wall and screaming about having a single penalty and how it ruined his WHOLE LIFE, I was like "seriously?". I just couldn't believe someone could be so obsessed with his work. And I understand he was pissed and then got shot, but I still think of his motive as simply ridiculous. But I also understand someone can view the whole thing from different sides and I respect that.

The whole "A lawyer forces their biggest smiles in the worst of times" thing started chronologically with Diego Armando, who first said "A lawyer is someone who smiles no matter how bad it gets" to Mia in her first trial. Mia passed it on to Phoenix, who passed it on to Apollo and Athena.

When percieving, I always let the testimony go over and over while kinda scanning the witness' body for tics. Find nothing? Hear it again. Wait for the suspicious part to come, then hoover around. In SoJ I realized that the tics don't stop if you stop the testimony itself. Pausing on the bit I thought suspicious and then scan for tics proved way more effective... Groundbreaking.

Edgeworth's "powerful connections" are actually pretty suspicious. I mean, he can charter a private jet pretty much instantaneously and he picked a prosecutor and a judge of his choosing for a trial with nobody asking questions about it. And that was before becoming Chief Prosecutor. No wonder there are nasty rumors about him.

The fact that Roger Retinz sounds like Ratings Rajah flipped around - it took me a little while and I just thought "yeah yeah, Ratings, Ratings", that is, I understood the "Retinz"-thing but not the other. First it was "oh, yeah, it does sound a bit similar", when I figured, and then it was "...oh, it sounds quite damn similar if you use American English and not British, like I do".

Thanks to this GK2/AAI-2 related thread, I realized that I never noticed the change in Yumihiko/Sebastian's hair. During normal conversation, the top of his hair is shaped like a question mark, but when he's surprised, it changes to an exclamation point.

It may not be exactly "obvious", but something I noticed as I was replaying case 1-4 (for like the sixth time, but I never thought of it until now). When Phoenix is pointing out that the person on the picture is holding the gun in their left hand.

The "However!" and "Ergo!" feels very... Edgeworth. In the game, Phoenix and the Judge also uses the "However!", but it's mostly an Edgeworth thing, and outside of this, only Edgeworth and von Karma says "ergo", and only Edgeworth himself says "Ergo!" like this otherwise. I thought it was a nice touch. Like Phoenix got worked up defending Edgeworth and now that he had found something conclusive to work with he just got a boost of Miles' usual in-court energy and confidence.

That is a nice little ref. I don't believe it was intended like that in the JP ver (since Nick usually talks like that in court anyway), but the localization team really knows how to slip in these little moments to further build their characters.

Mia's outfit... is not a blazer with a skirt. It's a dress. With a zipper in front. I'd never realized that until I looked in the T&T-booklet the other day. It's a casual zipped-up dress with a blazer-like collar so it looks lawyer-y. Kinda clever.
