Hate->like:
-Godot. Mainly, because his drinking animation was so long and his attitude used to annoy me. Towards the end of 3-5 and replaying T&T I suddenly grew attached to him.
-Franziska. Honestly, I like her better when she's not the prosecutor of a case.
Like->Hate:
-Pearl. I'm probably going to get slapped/shot for that but it's mainly because of the third game. I actually thought she was kind of cute in the second game. Third game, things like her slapping a guy to unconsciousness JUST because of her overactive imagination turned me off.

Oldbag: I absolutely hated her in 1-3, but when she came back in 2-4 (and I got over my initial "UGHHH" reaction), I actually found her ray-gun thing amusing.
She still bothers me a bit, but I don't hate her anymore.Manfred: Yeah, he just plain annoyed me at first, and his 'Objection' scared the living daylights out of me. But thinking back on it after I beat 1-4, I realized he was actually pretty darn fun to go against. Also, he's the spawn of Satan.

...I actually can't think of any off the top of my head. The Ace Attorney series has always been really good at making me fall in love with characters. I might have to get back to you on that one... :P

One that definitely comes to mind is Edgey. He's the first guy in the games you're set up to hate and I did that with a passion until the rest of the story unfolded, and at the end of it I had a huuuuuge soft spot for the guy. It was good that way - like someone else wrote somewhere, he has to fight for your affection.
Can't think of anyone else just now so...I'll get back to you on that too.

Manfred von Karma. No doubt. XD If it weren't for him then the game wouldn't exactly exist - or it would be centered around Defense Attorney Edgey, which I don't mind - plus I adore villains and von Karma's just awesome to me. I used to hate him for doing all kinds of terrible things. Then I remembered how much I love terrible things~

Payne - At first I was like "this guy is dumb" but now I'm like "this guy is funny!"
Dee - She's my favorite now XP She just bothered me on my first play-through with that attitude of hers.
Turner Grey - He makes me smile now. He used to make me frown.
Oh, and Iris is growing on me too

Grew to like: Edgeworth. At first I was like "oh screw you and your objections all the time!" The game really makes you think he's the bad guy and all, what with all those rumors for forged evidence and "doing whatever it takes to prove the defendant guilty". But after 1-4 (and 1-5) and realising what is subtly going on with him and Nick I just love the guy.
And although Pearls is oh so cute and everythin, especially in JFA, she's really starting to annoy me now (just finished 3-2). I hope she doesn't become even more annoying?
Oh, also Mia, I really liked her in the first game, then in JFA she looked really disturbing while being channelled by Pearl and her whole attitude was really bad, always with "but it's obvious what the contradiction is". Yeah, really helpful. I don't hate her but yeah, don't really like her anymore either.
And finally Larry. I liked his goofy character in AA, but last time I saw him, he seemed like a real jerk. "That was then, now is different" or something like that, when Maya said he and Nick are friends? What did I ever do to this guy? Except save his ass from being declared a murderer of course.
That's all so far anyway, everyone else I either liked or hated from the start. Yes, even including Oldbag, I always liked her and her ways.

I used to hate her overly preppy personality. And then, throughout the course of T&T, she grew on me.
ugh. I hated her soooo much. Like Maya, only replace "preppy" with "spiteful". She also grew better with time. D-d-d-Dahlia. I really disliked her (I still don't know why) and now I love her. High five, girlfriend!

At first I thought he was so cool, because of his habit of air guitaring in court, but as soon as he did it 3 times in 5 mins (near the end of 4-4 Trial, day 1), I realised how annoying it was. Also, it was around the end of the final investigation day in 2-3 that I figured out that the reason that this game was so easy was because he kept helping me. At first, I thought he was OK, but in comparison with Phoenix from the flashback trial, his noobishness really starts to show.

Ema Skye: in 1-5 other than the fact she gave you cool stuff to play mini games with, she was hella annoying. She was like a copy of Maya which I had already hated. The only difference was she was a tad more annoying.

Maggey Bryde: Like Ema, I found her highly annoying in 2-1. I couldn't STAND her. When I was playing T&T and saw her again I just thought Oh hell no. I especially hated her when poor Gumshoe was trying the best he could to make her happy and she turned down everything. Even though Gumshoe was only doing his job! It's bad enough that his pay check went down about a bazillion times. Then she has to make Maya and Phoenix feel bad for eating the weenies that were meant for her. That just pissed me off. Only at the end of 3-3 was I ok with her. I like her much more now cause she's with Gumshoe :3
Maya: SOO ANNOYING at first, SOO ANNOYING. I actually hated her with a passion. It wasn't until 1-5 and forward that I started to like her. Kinda like Gil's relationship with Maya xD
Edgeworth: First: I dunno why I just didn't find him interesting :/ (AHH CALL THE COPS SHE'S CRAZY >_>;; ) After: one word, BADASS ('scuse my french :3) specially now that he has his own GAME :D
Pearls: Yes, again call me crazy but at first I hated her cuteness and how she paired Phoenix and Maya. After 2-2 I just kinda got used to it.
Dahlia: Hated her SOO MUCH, how she pretended to be all innocent and then BAM! EVIL. 3-4 and 3-5 changed all of that. Now I think she was an awesome villain :D
Adrian: Hated her personality in 2-4. Being all snooty and then being a complete cry baby. Annoying. Then I enjoyed her goofy-self in 3-2.
Angel Starr: Meh, I just didn't like her, until I replayed 1-5

Sal Manella: At first even before actually playing 1-3 I saw pictures of him and thought, Ha! cool! a complete nerd. That'll be an interesting character! but then he got all perverted over Maya and then he was just plain creepy D:

Apollo: Like most people I was skeptical about him at first, but after playing the game through a second time (yeah I'm sad) I started to like him. Unlike most people I stopped complaining and just accepted the fact that he's the main character now.
Brushel: I found him annoying at first, but he grew on me. I find him to be quite funny now.

Tigre: While I liked him at first...
