You're not the only one. ^_^ I thought his voice would be gruff and deep voiced too.

:karate: : To me, I thought he'd have a gangster kind of talk. :edgy:

:godot: I thought his voice deep and calm-like...?

:larry: Loud and as if barely going through puberty (I don't know why I think that, I just do.)

:yuusaku: quiet and shreiky when he yells, he basicly just would sound like an unconfident little man to me. :redd:

Just going to share a funny view on Gant.

I was torn as to how I imagined his voice, either a fatherly Russian (eastern Europe at least) or Dutch, why Dutch? NO IDEA, maybe it is all the orange which reminds me of the Dutch football team.

:gant:

:redd: American all the way though.

:uramidn: Monotone, Wednesday Adams type voice or the twins from the Shining.

:keiko: Same voice actress as for Motoko Kusanagi from the Ghost in the Shell series.

:pearl: Sasami from Tenchi Muyo
:franny: A more refined Ryoko Tenchi again or perhaps Ayeka. (Guess I said Ryoko out of more colour of the hair)
:shoe: ryo ohki! haha
:maya: Excel or Kobayashi (Poemy) from Excel Saga/Puni Puni Poemy
:grossburg: perhaps Gordon Brown!

I'm done.

:phoenix: Normal-toned male voice. /original
:edgeworth: Sort of deep with a slight British accent.
:godot: GODOT MAN. MANLY MAN.
:minuki: Like a normal teenager, but kind of high pitched.
:matt: The typical surfer 'duuuude' voice.
:sadshoe: Joe from Family Guy, lawl.
:odoroki: Exactly like his ingame voice. /more original
:will: I always imagined him with a New York accent, no idea why.
:yogi: The stereotypical GIT OFF MAH LAWN voice.
:kyouya: Obviously faked German accent.
:maya: Very enthusiastic fangirl.
:zenitora: Brooklyn accent. /even more original
:payne: High-pitched and whiney.
:larry: That one guy who no one really likes but is your friend anyways and is always whining about SOMETHING in his life.
:yuusaku: Really high-pitched.
:wellington: Stereotypical gay guy voice.
:chinami: Sweet and innocent at first, but criticizing and harsh when she switches into her "evil" persona.
:garyuu: Deep and suave.
:sawit: Very heavy Asian accent.

:phoenix: - My standard reading voice. A medium-pitched man's voice; really similar to his objection.
:maya: - She has a woman's voice, but it's not as high-pitched; lower than the actress in the Phoenix Wright Musical Project.
:edgeworth: - He has a slightly lower voice, but it's silkier than Phoenix's.
:pearl: - Soft-spoken, high-pitched girl's voice
:franny: - WAY more German accent, a lower voice than her objection
:karma: - DEFINITELY HIGHER THAN HIS OBJECTION HOLY GOD
:larry: - Probably the highest of the guys, but when I think about it, I feel like it should be lower. ~ o_o ~
:eh?: - Much huskier than the other guys'

Post subject:  Re: Reading Character 'voices'

:phoenix: Reminds me of Matthew Broderick, almost. For some reason, I just always thought "Sounds like Adult Simba to me", especially whenever Phoenix started hesitating.
:edgeworth: Carry Elwes crossed with Alan Rickman. Seriously.
:larry: Jason Marsden.
:franny: Admittedly, I was stunned at her "Objection!" voice when I first heard it...but the more I think about it, the more it fits. She's only eighteen, after all, and between the curtsy-sprite and that eyes-half-closed grin she gets sometimes, Franziska seems a little...younger than most of us automatically assume she is. Still could've done with more of a European accent, though.
:odoroki: Higher-pitched than his "Objection!", and with a lot of emotion put into even mundane conversation.
:kyouya: I'd think he has a light, breezy voice, one of those sorts that you can just hear the smile in.
:garyuu: Jeremy Irons. Kristoph is endearing and threatening at the same time, and yet seems to have a very smooth--almost dangerous--vibe coming off of him. It would reflect in his voice, I think?
:devasque: Something like Shizuru from "Yu Yu Hakusho". Apathetic, smoker's rasp, totally unmoved by anything.
:cards: Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series: Maximillion Pegasus.
:shelly: Stuffy, slow-spoken, moderately deep voice.
:adrian: Her voice is really hard to place in my mind--but the closest I can get is a female version of Elijah Woods' voice
:mattphone: Am I the only one who didn't think of surfer-esque "Duuuuude"? I envisioned a boy-band member, with an eager, perpetually confused voice that's just the teensiest bit camp. :enguard: Voice drops confusion and eagerness, takes on a slight British accent, and becomes a little more camp.

I apologize for the lack of GS3 characters--I have not actually played the game, and therefore have little (W)right to proclaim voices. Choice of side-characters was done either because a) they were on my mind (Engarde, Adrian and DeKiller, since I just finished 2-4 again), or because the voice immediately clicked the instant I read their text (Max and Dee). Unlisted main characters are due to either agreeing with prior statements, or because I woefully fail at placing female voices.

The judge sounds like the judge.

:edgeworth: Actually, Travis Willingham. Like, Roy Mustang Travis Willingham. Listen to him do a few lines as Roy and then listen to Edgeworth's objection. I really don't hear him with any sort of accent, to be honest.
:gant: Dude, I don't even know why. Phil Lamarr. I'm sure he'd come up with something God awesome amazing for Gant. I don't even know why he's just that awesome omg Lamaaaarrrr.

I imagine the lawyer characters' voices based on their "objection" (although for Godot and Klavier I imagine their regular speaking voices as a bit lighter).
Gumshoe is definitely Daran Norris (as Dick Daring from the Replacements).
Wocky is Danté Basco (with a faux-gangsta accent like Jake Long).
I don't really put much thought for everyone else, they just get generic voices.
