This sort of fits under "I've been playing too much Phoenix Wright lately", but anyway I come to this forum everyday, among doing other innumerable things.
Don't mind me, just passing through.

Gyajuten Saiban (as I like to call it) has lead me to this great series of forums, given me some laughs, and is helping learn how to spot contradictions...

Eh... I unfortunately have to use a FAQ to play the games... :edgeworth:

I have learned how to say "Objection!!" in Japanese after beginning to play. :godot:

Calling it Gyakuten Saiban doesn't mean they ARE playing the japanese version...it just shows they may prefer that name over the Ace Attorney monicker! :phoenix:

My clue was:
Quote:
I have learned how to say "Objection!!" in Japanese after beginning to play. :godot:

...which indicates the user was probably only exposed to the Igiari 'Objection' AFTER playing, and thus means they should be playing 'Phoenix Wright' in all it's western shape and form! =D

ZVARRI! There - I have your answer...heh heh.

Bah! You flatter me! But thankyaverymuch :goodman:

Once I actually got to testify in court due to some things involving my parents, and I made up my own little signature faces for the things the lawyers would ask me. Granted they weren't as awesome as scratching my face off  or going all Super Saiyan on them :zap: ...but it was enough to get a few funny looks. Though I'm not sure if that's a thing that affects my life in general, but still it was fun!

It was more of the "have to use FAQs to play" part that made me think that.

I also think it helped reawaken my love of anime (now im an even bigger anime fan)

I also now look for contradictions in things so i can shout objection.
I think im starting to annoy people :payne:

Whoa, I never really thought about how the Ace Attorney series affected me...

Well, at first, I spoke in courtroom jargon to annoy my friends. I also said objection in normal speech. I have several megs of Ace Attorney music on my playlist as well...

Other effects include the experimentation in different blends of coffee. I am not a heavy coffee drinker, but when I do drink coffee I try different things. I've also written some poems and haiku thanks to Ace Attorney.

I've also decided to try my guitar talents on the electric guitar thanks to this series as well, lol.

Actually no... I tried playing the Japanese version with a Faq... doesn't work too well...

I play the English version, but I refer to it as Gyakuten Saiban. Because I am generally broke, I can only emulate the Phoenix Wright series. (Too poor to get an NDS and Phoenix Wright: Ace attorney...) :payne:

How has it affected my life? I guess a few ways...

1. I tend to spot contradictions people say in conversations. If I do it often, usually they say "What, you think that talking like you're smarter than me makes you smarter than me?"

My reply is simple:

I tap my forehead like Edgeworth, then say "Of course not, I act like I'm smarter than you solely because I AM smarter than you!"

Then I run like hell before I get beat into the size of Phoenix's badge.

Another thing that this series has done is made me change my hairstyle to that of Matt Engarde (hard since I wear glasses) and also has given me the incredible desire to carry a whip with me at all times. Of course, it's hard enough to LOCATE a whip where I am, but I keep trying!

Final way it has changed me is a bit more subtle, but I'll say it anyways: Each morning and night, I walk my dog for EXACTLY fourty minutes, each walk is 40, so 1 hour and 20 minutes of walking with my dog a day. I always bring my MP3 Player with me as well for the walk. The point? The LAST SONG I listen to, EACH TIME, before I get home (it always ends when I reach ther door, sometimes slightly earlier) is "gyakuten_saiban_1_-_courtroom.mp3". the orchestrated version of the Court beginning (trial), cross-examination/testimony, and "investigation overtaked" in sequence. Love that music.

Anyways, that's all for me!

I had one strange dream where Maya and Phoenix were trying to take care of Pearl. I can't remember that much, but Pearl knocked a vase from the second floor straight onto Phoenix's head while playing with her ball. I also had another one where Ema was investigating something and she licked up some blood to see what is was, and she asked Maya where she could get some more.

Somehow, I think I'd probably see a little 8-year old girl dressed up as Franziska WAAAAAAY before I see one dressed as Pearl come to my door on Halloween.

Of course, I'm looking for a Godot mask, and if not, I'll just find a Burger King king mask. Either way, I'll have fun scaring the hell out of someone this Halloween!

PW has given me a whole new meaning to the words "turnabout" and "determination". Sure, the game has many flaws and we could spend hours talking about it, but the essence of the game and the nature of the situations that the characters go through are presented in such a way that, no matter how "unnatural" or "unusual", it is going to appeal to some part of your heart.

I, myself, changed a lot internally after being a part of Nick's journey, especially in the trust department. PW was the first game ever to make me shed tears. From the day I started playing AA games, they have been part of my life; heck, even of my own personality (in a sense). AA also helped a LOT with my english and made me develop, for a very short period of time, professional interests on the law area.

No game has ever made such an impact in my life and I can say this with 100% certainty.

I guess it gave me new phrases to shout and body pose ideas...
Even prior to playing GS, I was interested in law, so that didn't really affect anything there.
Except maybe make me enjoy the real life law more as it had more gray areas and proper details

How PW affected my life? Well for starters, it took a rather sizable chunk of it away

*ahem* Honestly, I think playing AA has helped rekindle my interest in mysteries/legal thrillers in general. I've been reading a lot more since I finished the series. A couple people were saying it was the first game to make them cry, and I think it was for me too (for some reason, the end of 1-5 really got to me), the only other one I can think of being Lost Odyssey.
