I wonder why he gets such a bad rep. I mean, I hated Valent and Daryan more than Brushel. He's like Moe in JFA, I 'spose (who, btw, I also liked) I don't see what's so annoying about him, I mean, there's nothing wrong with his personality, and he's not extremely ugly, all he does is have a few strange habits, but then again, don't we all?

I can name uglier characters. Grossberg, for example.
I think he's one of the most interesting people in the game. He has a distinct personality, unlike Apollo and Trucy, who have really similar personalities to Phoenix and Maya.

He IS the Moe of AJ. Accept you don't get penatlies when cross examing him. And saying "End Quote" did become a habit for me. In my Geography presentaion is accidently said "End quote".
Zak was mean to him. I mean Decking him for no apprent reason. He could of just Asked nicely i mean. he was like
"GET OUT!"
Brushel sits there like "What?" Then Zack turns and hits him. Zak is a Jerk. Bushel is awesome. But as minor charactors in AJ goes It's Daryan > Brushel.

And yet, sorting through his dialogue, I just get the feeling that he's a bit more grounded in reality than a lot of the other characters, and I like him more for that. He still acts off-beat a lot of the time, but he knocks it off fast when he needs to.
