I think he is much better then normal Nick, he seems to be much mysterious then before
It seems he is now a pianist in a Russian Bar (lol, i´m from Russia too!!!), I can even tell you what means ,,Borsht´´ in Russian, it is Russian/Ukraine/Belorussian red soup (very tasty).
I think he isn´t rich enough (Hobohodo), because of his hat, you could see it...
But still he is much better then normal Nicky, I hope that he will be in all cases of Gyakuten Saiban 4 and maybe even in one case a defense attourney again!!! (If the defendant will be Odoroki, lol, Phoenix will defend him!!!)

That's all we know, really. We won't know much else until the game comes out, that's for certain.
Oh, and of note is that he's not really a hobo, fans just call him that because he sort-of dresses like one. Just because he dresses like a bum doesn't automatically make him one, you know.

I still think he and Edgey somehow incited the wrath of the Shikabane Syndicate and are lying low till they can get enough 'ammo' to fight back and have a court showdown! I bet Nick approaches Odoroki to take the case too, since Nick might have a hefty price tag on his head. It would explain why he's hiding out in a shady Russian restrauant - not exactly a place the a Japanese mafia group would approach.
Oh, and Croik mentioned writing a story where the Shikabane Mafia approaches Phoenix and tries to enlist his services! It's called "One of Every Colour" and you can find at this website: http://www.idletheme.com/objection/

I'd say this is a gross misevaluation of what Croik set out to write. To a point where I'd compare it to Alexis Vincent Charles Berbiguier de Terre-Neuve du Thym's beliefs that leprechauns ruled the world, and that he had been sent by God to eliminate them.

(In the interests of full disclosure, the fic in question is graphic yaoi).Back on topic, I adore Phoenix's new look (except I'm not fond of the beanie. Get a better hat!). It seems like for 2007 all my favorite game characters are getting older, scruffier looks, and I couldn't be happier for it. I think it'll give Phoenix and extra layer of depth that he needs after GS3.
