What about the MASON system? I actually went "OMG" at that.

Gotta go with Steel Samurai on that one. And by the way, I also think the game was a little... weak compared to the others. They needed more plot twists or character development or both. Either way, it IS a new game, so to speak, and the story just got started. It's probably going to get a lot better.

YES! And Nick kept the Magatama! But that doesn't say anything about the cousins. The one who sent the DVDs was probably Maya. She's a bigger fan. XD

Less haters. I don't see what's wrong with it, other than the 4-3 contradictions.

Also, presenting profiles. I wonder what reaction you'd get if you presented Lamiroir to Valant.

Not just because apples are red! But I can't really explain it. It's like, Apollo looks way different than he acts. And an apple looks way different than it tastes. Or something. I guess I'm not very poetic today.

Yes, Apollo is way funnier. But I never felt sorry for him like I did Phoenix. The two are really different. But I prefer Phoenix's games because of the prosecutors. While I love Klavier, he just wasn't the challenge that Edgeworth, Franzy, and Godot were. Especially Godot. Love Godot. *shot*

I agree on presenting profiles- so much comedy lost...

Also,
Spoiler: 4-4
A real showdown with the final boss- every time I replay, the bit with Kristoph Gavin in the last scene is SOOO disappointing. I thought it was bad enough that he was shoved in as the villain in 4-1 without any real build-up apart from that stupid card colour comment, and the whole case was left on a completely unsatisfying "Hmm, we don't know who the victim is or why Kristoph wanted to do that or wtf is going on with Hobo Phoenix... oh well!" note, but to do that sort of thing again for the final villain??? Seriously, one cross examination where you don't even cross examine, and then the rest of the sequence is basically played out for you? If they really wanted it to just be about Phoenix coming to terms with what happened seven years ago (which is basically what it felt like given the way the fourth case pans out), the game should have been Phoenix Wright 4, not Apollo Justice. And seriously, is your extremely experienced ex-mentor REALLY going to crumble because you used your magical heightened senses to see a devil face on his hand when he said a certain word? Come on...

I would also have liked the Percieve system to come into play in the investigation phases rather than ruining perfectly good cross-examinations. But maybe that's just me.

This! Man, 4-4 felt incomplete to me because of this. The only thing I disagree with is the use of the word "boss".

Yeah, I meant "boss". Like, inverted commas this-is-not-really-the-right-word-but-you-know-what-I-mean "boss". Alas, I failed... :yogi:

Oh, oh, I would also have liked an Edgeworth cameo. Not a big one, but a view of him in the background or even an ambiguous comment from Phoenix or Klavier would have been good.

I hate that the lawyers are so... Disappointing now that I'm playing for a second time through. Both Apollo AND Klavier, rather than provide solid evidence like... Other lawyers (*coughvonkarmacough*) just grasp at straws and speak with a 'What if?' dialect. As in 'What if' the defendant was wearing gloves? Not "I have evidence SHOWING the defendant was wearing gloves." (which there is none.)

And in Apollo's case, he only does about thirty percent of the work. Your co-council does more than he ever will. Even Trucy. And rather than use that obscure evidence that just recently has bearings on the case when you're cornered like Phoenix, it's, "Oooh look he twitches his eye when he says 'murder' or something"

Lame.

Klavier only did that once. So did Edgeworth. And Godot.

:edgeworth: What if when he entered the room he had no intention to kill?
:godot: What if she was facing the lantern?

And like you said, there was no evidence showing he was wearing gloves... but at the time, there was no evidence against it either. Saying "what if" was pretty much all he could do.

That problem was only present in 4-1, 4-4, and to a much lesser extent 4-2. It's exaggerated to hell and back. :yuusaku:

Secondly, he does present evidence. Perceiving just tells him when to present it, or as a more unique way of pressing.

This may be true, but you can say the same thing with Phoenix. How many people have helped him? You have Maya, Pearl, Mia, Ema(1-5), Gumshoe, Maggey (2-1), and to a far lesser extent Edgeworth(1-3 1-4, 1-5 2-4 3-5), Godot(3-5), and Even Franziska(2-4). Apollo had Phoenix, Trucy, Ema and both Gavins. Sometimes it felt like Nick was doing 30% of the work.

I'll give you that Klavier helped Apollo more than Edgeworth, Fransikza and Godot. But it's not like Apollo asks for his help.

Which brings me to my main gripe about AJ. Even though it's called Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney it never seemed like it was Apollo's game. It seemed like Phoenix was the main character. The plot and story mainly revolved around Phoenix. Also, Trucy, The Gavins, and even the Gramarye's (though not individually) had more plot and story significance than Apollo. The only story and plot significance Apollo had was he was the defense attorney, he worked at Kristoph's law firm and the Wright Talent Agency, Apollo was an orphan, and who his mother and half sister is. And most if not all of those are tied to the mentioned characters above. Maybe it should have been called Ace Attorney 4.

I definently agree that you should of been able to present profiles. Also, Machi and Valant should of been in the ending. I also agree that the crime scene stuff should of been used more. Finally, the Ending was anticlimatic.
