This one's worse. Give it a minute for the music to start. Don't say I didn't warn you. :karma:

Seriously though, I think the start of Fur Elise is pretty creepy. I just get all these pictures of a piano playing by itself in the dark for some reason, and it scares the hell out of me. XD I honestly can't listen to that song in the dark. :lana:

Believe it or not, this is on the official soundtrack.

I don't listen to a lot of scary music. Most of the time, I mute my TV. I'm such a coward. :sadshoe:

a lot of porcupine tree's older stuff. it's not just dark, richard barbieri's synth effects make it seem alien or the occult.

The Epic clock ticking and the slow dull....I don't know what the noise is something like demonic bees. Then add the shrill 'electric scratching' tunes.

Just makes me think of James Sunderland walking down a corridor slowly then the scratching kicks in and he briefly goes insane while it does with all the shaking and jittering of someone in a straightjacket.

I started reading this thread and wondered if anyone would mention this song.

I think I find it more sad than scary though. (Notice how the piano which appears on it also appears at the end of "Angels Fuck and Devils Kiss", too?)

My votes' for the evil clown music which appears in Under a Killing Moon. It gets used in all the utterly nerve-wracking parts of the game, and hearing even a few notes of it makes me want to shit myself. :beef:

Those Chosen by the Planet from Final Fantasy VII was pretty chilling when I was younger.
I also associated Promise from Silent Hill 2 with freak-outage for a long time.

Music generally doesn't scare me though, so I dunno. Though that thing from Time Hollow that mainframe004 posted put me on edge a little, haha.

I never noticed that Angels Fuck and Witch Hunt had the same piano, actually. I'll have to compare 'em at some point, because now I'm super curious!

Apparently this song is from Dead Space and is damn creepy on its own, but here it is with Higurashi. For a challenge, watch this video in a dark room with the volume cranked up high: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oRNgVvrUw0

Torture Device.

Broken fingers, cut wrists
Violence within, embrace the bloody fist
so let's hear you scream
you're fucking dead

Torture with hate, torture be painful
torture device, torture with hate
torture be painful, torture device

bruised face, cracked skull
terror released, as your body turns cold
so let's hear you weep,
don't fuck with me

Torture with hate, torture be painful
torture device, torture with hate
torture be painful, torture device.

Feel the fear.

I'm listening to "scary" music all the time :/.... you guys sure are some wimps :P

Well, yeah.... here have some creepy songs then:

Spoiler: yay, songs!
Winterreise - ColdWorld

The Old Ghost In The Well - ColdWorld

The following songs are categorized as "(Extreme) Symphonic Black Metal", so all those kids which don't like metal shouldn't probably listen to any of these songs... for all the other guys; Enjoy it! :

Utakata - Kadenzza <= not that creepy but I couldn't find that other song I was looking for on youtube =/

Unveil The Curtain Sanity - Bishop of Hexen <= always reminds me of an intro for an old horror movie or something.... not that scary though

The Somber Grounds Of Truth - Bishop of Hexen <= pretty much love the intro <3

and now some industrial songs, enjoy it:

Parasite - How to Destroy Angels

Damnation - Quake I (Soundtrack) <= every time I hear that song, I imagine seeing a child who's mouth was sewn, being trapped in a dark and disgusting cell in the cellar of some very creepy house...

oh, the whole Quake I OST is pretty much creepy and scary, so give it a go if you are in the mood for shivers!
