Happy Thursday(/early/not-so-early Friday)!

It’s been a while since we’ve done this, so to reintroduce: whenever there’s a livestream of AA stuff (or Nintendo/major gaming things), we like to gather everyone together to watch and chat as things go down using Cytube.

Tonight Nintendo shows off the Nintendo Switch in detail for the first time, with plenty of game announcements expected. While Ace Attorney news isn’t likely, why not come watch with fellow AA fans?

The show starts at 8 PM PST, which is a little over half an hour from this initial post. Come on by then!
Hi! I've largely stepped back from C-R due to life stuff. Please contact one of the other staff members for help!

Stream just ended. Very fun to watch, Legend of Zelda:Breed Wildly looks ultra cool. No AA news sadly.

After watching the presentation, I think it's safe to say that Nintendo will be continuing with handhelds, so AA will stick on the 3DS and its future successor. I don't think 2-screen gaming will be going anywhere, and that's good news for the AA series.

I must say that I disagree with you. To me it seems like Nintendo is trying to merge its handhelds and consoles into one, meaning that its titles will no longer be divided among 2 systems. I hope that the Ace Attorney series ends up on the Switch

Nintendo's website explains it well enough: http://www.nintendo.com/switch/features/

Though to answer your question about battery life, they said 2.5-6 hours during the presentation, depending on the game. So kind of like the 3DS. However, unlike the 3DS, it'll have a USB Type C charging port, so it can run off of cell phone portable power banks.

This could be the case if the Switch is a smash hit, but right now I'm thinking they're still split between console and handheld. I would start to believe what you think if they start releasing handheld games on the Switch. (For example, if mainline Pokemon games come out on the Switch, then I'd believe you. Also if titles like Lady Layton, The Great Ace Attorney 2, Kirby games, Mario & Luigi games, and other games that use the touch screen were released on the Switch.)
