The first part of this interview discussion was posted today, but it is barely more than meaningless marketing talk about both DGS2 and the 3DS release of AA4, so only a few tidbits:
- For DGS, they actually contacted the family of Natsume Soseki for permission to use him in the game.
- Takumi often hear people comment that Ace Attorney is almost like a work of fantasy, to which he says that's exactly how he intends these games to be. The trials in his games are not based on the real world at all, but on his idea, his image of how he thinks a trial should be and go. It's a world where entertaining the player goes before anything else.
- For AA4, they even visited the Ministry of Justice in connection to the Lay Judge System, to see if they couldn't do some kind of collaboration project. But the people working on the Lay Judge System were mostly ex-prosecutors, and when they explained what kind of game Ace Attorney was to them, those people naturally said that prosecutors never do such a sloppy job.
