Oddly enough it doesn't make things easier at all. I can't find the textboxes in the rom, so you'll still have a grey semitransparent box over sprites.
Anyway more stuff coming soon. Just finished case 1. It's fucking HUGE.
I didn't get all the sprites, far from it, I completely left Odoroki and Payne be for a start. I got the 2 animations requested by DarzieP though... I'll post them when I compile them and get rid of the backgrounds. Might take a while, sorry.

The latest version of iDeaS can play GS4 quite nicely! It just doesn't have save states
You can remove layers with this.

That'd suck. I was lucky and got through the WHOLE CASE without no$gba crashing. My one doesn't save
. I was getting a little worried when the Walkthrough thread was wrong... lucky I noticed the post saying how to do it before I lost my last bit of life. Whew.Here's a huge animation for you:

iDeaS seems to be messing up the sprites with me (I was watching Garyuu and his eyes/glasses were going all over the place... how odd)

Unfortunately, I'm a little tied up with life with two hours, so I'll help BoltStorm with sprite ripping and if you like, I'll see what I can do; what type of graphics encryption used, and see if it's possible to rip further than case one (maybe just rip characters randomly, that's what I'm more concerned with because big characters are biiiiig
EDIT: I heard Capcom decided to be encryption buttheads. ;_; )
Hopefully I'm not too late - seems like you guys just started ripping now.
Also, hi Mikker, rsmarty - this is going to be one, fun long process.
Now, all I have to do is figure out the spoiler tag so I don't accidentally get banned or something. >_>;

It's nothing particularly spectacular. If you want it to look good with all its emphasis in tact it'll take forever to remove the background and re-animate. If you don't mind removing the background yourself though....

Problem is that you have to know when the animations are gonna happen if you wanna rip them. That's why I missed so many animations (the times I got the animations were pretty much luck).

I've got the frames for both of those. Just need to animate and get rid of the backgrounds. If you've somehow got rid of the witness bench, though, then you can rip them. :P
To animate I'm using Graphicsgale. I have the registered version which allows animation.
Getting rid of the backgrounds is harder now. The sprites sometimes have the same colours as the background.
