This thread is for thinking up character-specific game mechanics for characters who don't have them. Note that you can't suggest mechanics that have appeared in the games (Psyche-Locks, Logic, etc.) But of course, the best way to show you is by example, so here is one I've thought up:

Name: Art
Characters:Vera Misham/Larry Butz(as Laurice Deauxnim)
Description: This mechanic is based on drawing pictures and diagrams of the crime. If the result is obviously wrong/useless, it will be discarded after a penalty. Otherwise, you can show it to people and use it to highlight witness lies/mistakes and break psyche-locks when you don't have enough evidence. Just be careful exactly how you draw it thought because little differences, as well as when you present the images can affect the way the case progresses, or even put you on the wrong track to penaltyville. And as for the drawing itself, pictures are drawn on the touchscreen(NDS) or lower half of the window (PyWright/PWLib) while the top screen/half shows colours(maybe) and which tool (brush/pencil or eraser) is active. Diagrams are also drawn but are more like vector images because you can easily manipulate items after they have been placed. As for keys\buttons,on DS D-Pad=select colours/objects, A=finish drawing, B=cancel drawing, X=switch tools/modes and Y=confirm selection of colour/object. On PC arrow keys=select colours/objects, Enter=finish drawing, Esc\Backspace=cancel drawing, Tab=switch tools/modes and Space=confirm selection of colour/object.

Others can comment on various things about the mechanics like how well-thought-out they are, how much fun they would be in practice, and which casemakers you can use to implement them. And finally, NO BASHING of the mechanics, characters, or posters.
