I'm absolutely speechless right now. Vicki, I love you so, so, so, so, so much right now! You made the avatar and siggy sooo much better than I had expected it to be and I love it more than anything else! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3 I adore the colors, paint splatters, and the paintbrush in the corner of the avatar. And the siggy's so perfectly blue! You are a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much! ^_______^

Sooo, you see that signature and avvie combo you just did?

My heart did a happy dance when it saw it.

And I can assure you that mine was not the only one.

*continues reading through all of pages*

Last time I came here, you only had around 5-10 pages or so.

With all of these people indebted to you, you could take over the entire Internet, you know.

"Vickinet: Brought to you by indebted fans."

Has a nice ring to it, I think.

Edit: I just finished reading all of the pages :edgy: And now I officially declare you to be as wonderfulongoishilfaboototalawesomelystupendoladinhistoryofwonderawesome as you appear to be on first sight.

So, congratalations, I think.

I'm going to lurk for a while :read- for the rest of my time on cr: now, because I'm a creeper and I will probably request something eventually.

So.

:This message was brought to you by Breanna, creeper extraordinaire, and now, Vicki's Graphics: wonderful to look at even when covered in mosquito bites.:

I'm so happy you enjoy the set! ^__^ I really like Vera and the whole "artist"/painter theme, so I wanted to stay true to that.
You're very welcome. <3

Ahaha. 5-10 pages... seems like awhile ago, hm.
I'm a frequent lurker on other forums. I never seem to have anything important or interesting to say, so I just refrain from posting. ^^;

lmao, that would be insane. I'll save the world domination plans for another day. ;D

You read every page? Wow, that's awesome. I'm glad my sometimes random disorganization moments didn't turn you away from my thread, haha. It's tough to keep a "business" like this up sometimes.

Anyways, you're nice and I like your personality. XD

Oh, dang, I was looking forward to seeing Vickinet in production :yuusaku:

Yep. I must say, out of all of your productions, the most amusing would be Grossberg with Redd. Ah, the days of his youth...

Being possibly the most disorganized person in the world (I say, sitting on a combination of an old pillow, sleeping bags, and my camera bag--moving trans-state is difficult) I wouldn't do justice to my kind if I were turned away by something as inconsequential as disorganization :edgy:

I bet. The only attempt at "businessing" that I ever had was when I was eight and decided to make a card shop with my sister. We made around 20 cards, and then asked for the second time if we needed a permit to sell them. My babysitter gave us a kind of "Wait, you actually were going to do it?" look. We ended up trying to sell the cards to my younger siblings with their allowance money, which my mom made us return.

I suppose I also made fonts for people on another forum...or font styles, at least. *shrugs* I laud you for your perseverance, in any case.

:bellboy: Well, shucks. Same to you. You're awfully hardworking. I definitely couldn't do this (nor would I want to; seeing as I have Photoshop Elements but I only use it for editing my photography.)

Hmmm. All right. I have a future request, okay? I'm only writing it here because I forget things quite easily (namely, in a manner of seconds.)

Anyways, I've had these song lyrics running through my head for a little bit, and I think a siggie focused on it might be intriguing.

(Plus, your work is just superb and I <3 it. :edgy: )

Text: I can see that the closest thing to perfect/is the farthest thing from me (in two lines, if that would be okay?)
Image(s): Get ready for... ULTRA SPACE SAVUH!
Spoiler: *drumroll*
Note that I can always post the image if you like. I've kinda got loads of sprites sitting around in my hard drive. For now...I'll just do URL's. Uhhh. So, I don't want any of them animated...and if there's too many, just pick 'n choose from your favorite characters. Shutting up now.
http://www.court-records.net/animation/ema-serious(a).gif (Young Ema)
http://www.court-records.net/animation/maya-sad(a).gif (Maya)
http://www.court-records.net/animation/pearl-disappointed(a).gif (Pearl)
http://www.court-records.net/animation/ani-minuki-worried.gif (Trucy)
http://www.court-records.net/animation/ani-makoto-nervous.gif (Vera)

Any preferred size?: Uhhh...about as large as yours, I suppose =) Anything flies as long as you can see it without a microscope.
Color scheme: I'll leave it up to you and your wunduhfulness. I'm guessing that with the slightly, well, less-than-ecstatic mood that the sprites are giving off, cooler colors would be more in line, but hey. You decide puce goes well, by all means.
Extras? (hearts, stars, swirls, etc.): Be creative =)

Also, completely optional...as always...maybe if you could make an Avasourus Rex?

Text: (I suddenly feel tempted to write "Goodbye, and thanks for all the fish." MUST RESIST URGE! MUST!) None, if you please. :shoe:

Image(s): http://gyakusai.magical-art.com/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=614&g2_serialNumber=2 I really love this picture. The Phoenix/Maya/Pearls part, specifically, although Gumshoe is amusing as always.

Any preferred size? None. Go for whatever. Again, my microscope is packed, so one not visible to the human eye (Hey! It's Biblio's New Avatar! Like the Emperor's New Clothes, except less embarassing!) might be a tad bit, um, inconvenient.

Color scheme: Uhhhh. Whatever works.

Extras: Mebbe a star somewhere or other. Or not. Go crazy. Or not. It's all up to you.

If you could give me the dimensions as well, it would be much appreciated, as any ruler I may or may not have is all packed up :yuusaku:

If you are too busy...

Put it off till next year.

Or if you don't want to do it.

Seriously. I don't mind at all. You've got all of these nice people clamoring for your attention anyways. Don't mind in the least.

*begins humming the "Ini Mimi Miney Moe song- Ini, Mimi, Miney, MOE! Catch Don Tigre by the toooeee. If he roars, then let him go. Ini, Mimi, Miney, Mooeeeeeeeeee."*

:bellboy:

Seriously, shutting up now.

But if you do choose to take my request, I do promise I will swear fealty to you on the spot. Not kidding at all. I would even edit a photo for you *about the only talent I have :edgy: * if you so chose.

I might do it even if you didn't, though, so no pressure.

*backs away slowly, now humming Cornered*

For some reason, I am distinctly reminded of a walrus's flipper *stares at it* However, of course, my eyes are still in "asleep" mode, so.

Yeah. Quoting all of these little thingies is a bit time-consuming. However, I have far too much time on my hands because I'm not really allowed to go out of my room while the table saws are going downstairs. So...

Why, thank you. I decided to make a verrrrry quick avatar last night concerning it...just because, well...

Well, actually, it's because Grossberg always reminds me of a hamster when he does that. He kind of...wiggles his moustache. I find it amusing.

I saved it to my hard disk, if you don't mind...not for personal use, since that feels like stealing. Just because it makes me laugh when I see it.

I actually haven't seen Redd White cosplay. I'm starting to feel left out a bit :payne:

A little bit. I should be used to moving by now, seeing as I've had, including my dad/stepmom's houses as opposed to my mom/stepdad's houses...*counts* Around 10 houses. So I must have moved 9 times...but I'm still not used to it. Plus, I've only moved in-state before.

On the bright side, at least I have a bed now! I didn't for two weeks C=

Well...technically. But I think I was a bit unclear- I took existing fonts, and used HTML to make styles...like say what color, size, the signature, any symbols, and a header. Most of these things are supplied on most forums, but in that particular one you had to do it yourself. So I would supply those codes. It wouldn't do anything here =)

Oh, thank you! I really appreciate that. Mostly, it gains negative attention (We're not in school writing an ENGLISH essay) (You use too many BIG WORDS). Don't worry, I can only speak normally in text...when I speak out loud, I usually have to try several times before anything comes out right =D And it's not like you're incoherent either. I appreciate how polite and refined you seem to be. And it's not creepy at all. I'm the creeper in this relationship, and don't you forget it! (Kidding.)

Haha, awesome avatar, bibliomaniac.

Sorry about my slight delayed response, I actually was out since 2pm (it's 9pm now), helping my friend entirely with her cosplay for Otakon. Man, I'm tired. >__>;;

It was 90 degrees out, we were mostly in the car for 2 hours, driving to a particular crafts store (because arr, most craft stores nearby do not carry fabric at all). My AC took forever to cool so it was like a sauna ~__~

I have to actually do a quick assignment for my internship, so I'll reply in depth to your posts (esp. yours, bibliomaniac XD) in a little bit.

EDIT: Ok, lesse.
I'm glad you like it, Teefanny :D Enjoy!
Thanks shojogirl. ^^ I appreciate it.

Kicked out, bibliomaniac? I suppose no place IS sacred.
Don't worry about saving my work. It's flattering that it was worth saving in the first place, haha.
Go to the Cosplay subforum on this forum. There's a thread that has awesome Redd White cosplay. :DD He's bling-blinging.

Ah. I'm glad you have a bed now. Congratulations! (What an odd thing to be congratulated on, hehe.)
I wouldn't ever be used to moving. I think everyone likes stability once in awhile. *nod*

Haha, I wrote those newspaper thingys when I was in like 3rd grade. Long gone by now ^^;;
Nowadays I will draw/doodle. I like female character development (like video games), mostly because I love the variety of costumes and outfits that are possible. Wee, dresses. Woo, flowy. Woohoo, awesome "i'm-going-to-kick-your-ass" clothing (the best kind).

Ohh, HTML font styles. That's still admirable. A lot of people just don't have the patience. XP Like me.

Hahaha. I hate people who defend their poor grammar/communication skills by saying that ("im not in SKOOL, GOD, GUYS. GOD. LAY OFF ME!!!111"). Pisses me off. Sorry, but if your post does not even contain a shred of coherency, you should reconsider the importance of basic grammar/spelling. Damn.

Woooh. I just finished picking up paper from all of the moving boxes (today I unpacked all of the ones across from my room and in it; I only have around 5 more now.) and stuffing them into unfortunate other-boxes. Fun stuff.

I'm just thankful I'm not like one of my friends, who moves to a new state every year or so. That'd be really harsh. At least most of the time previous I had just moved within the state...plus, I was a pretty mellow little kid. When I found out my parents were getting divorced, my sister screamed (rather melodramatically, I think) "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" I asked "Why?", and after they explained *kind of*, I said something among the lines of "Oh. Okay."
In fact, I think everyone else was more concerned about me being concerned about it than I was...*read: first grade, I wrote a story imitating the Boxcar Children, with orphans, basically. The teacher called my mom and told her that she thought I was depressed about the divorce. Me: :eh?: *
Quote:
Haha, I wrote those newspaper thingys when I was in like 3rd grade. Long gone by now ^^;;

Pity. I often wish I kept things from when I was really little, like my first un-school story (written around 1st grade), which went something among the lines of "I woke up and I had to go to school so I was sad. But then I remembered that it was a Saturday! But then I remembered that I had a dentist appointment. But then I remembered that that was next Saturday! But then..."
I had no concept of word repetition and its evils then :edgy:
Quote:

Wheeeeeeee!
Ahem.
Yeah, I went through a costume design phase where I drew all sorts of female dresses...actually, three separate ones that I can remember would be my fairy phase, my princess phase, and my illustrate-the-book's-characters-phase, which mostly included princesses and elves.
Nowadays, I just read or write the first paragraph of a never-to-be-finished story.
But I'd like to see those doodles =D I love doodles. And snickerdoodles. Those are good too.
Quote:

You have the patience to do this *gestures to board* though, don't you? I think most people have something that they can be patient for. Mine cycles through quickly, though. Knitting, finger knitting, making wire jewelry, html...I've done it all, and gotten bored with it just as quickly :sawit-2: But when I was making lots of HTML font styles, it didn't take me long at all. Only about fifteen minutes if it was an average request. So it didn't actually require much patience.

I know. I personally think in manners like this that if you have to defend it with something as infantile as that, you know that you're wrong =)
I just have these horrible nightmares of a future world where all text is chatspeak. Like in newspapers:
"ONG LULZ PREZ ELUXSHUN"
"HAHA LULZ TEH PREZ IZ GETIN ELEKTID DA CANDIDITS ARE..."
*shudders* I don't know what I would do if I had to see that every day. I mean, I've already seen people write chatspeak in their papers when I'm peer editing. I can't stand it.
Right. When people can no longer understand you, you can't justify it by saying you're not in school. Did hukt awn fonix wurk fur u, little teenager? I don't think so. I really just want to grade their posts and give them all an F in red type =)
Sorry for the mini-rant. I feel really strongly about it :bellboy:

You too. I like random chats. Such fun. :edgy:

We actually contend on stuff like that a lot. He tells me that I'm a loser and I have no friends because I use big words, and I tell him...well, the gist of it would be 'quality over quantity'. He cares a lot about being popular. Anyways.*

Wait, never mind. The window didn't help at all. It just gets dust all over, well, everything.
What is your friend going to cosplay as? Or who, rather.

By the way, you can call me Biblio, if you like. :edgy:

I'm going to *gasp* start numbering each point I reply to. It may be a bit confusing, but hopefully not as much as last time where I simply wrote separate paragraphs :D (It was late, I was lazy, I apologize.)

Spoiler:
1. Re: moving boxes
Haha. It sounds like fun. It's like getting gifts.. that you already had. But at least it's the illusion of them being in big boxes... @__@

2. Re: kicked out
Awww XD They should make some temporary hut outside the house, just so you can say you have your own hut when you've been kicked out of your own room. X3

3. Re: grossberg banner
Heheh. That's the best thing, when you imagine PW characters saying things COMPLETELY out of character. Have you ever lurked in the "Things PW characters would never say" thread? It's quite amusing.

4. Re: congrats
Ha! I like your toothpaste example. Sounds like something I would do, just to be silly. Beds are good. Mine was somewhat-recently bought from Chinatown, and Chinese parents love really hard beds because it's good for your back. So, mine was like sleeping on a solid, hard rock. I had to buy two foam padding things to help >__>;; I don't like very soft mattresses where you sink into the bed and have no chance of escaping, but I HATE hard beds. Imagine belly-flopping onto a hard bed with no sinking whatsoever? Ouch.
(It actually happened to a fellow friend who has the hardest bed I have ever imagined. His friend, thinking he was lying about how hard his bed was, belly-flopped onto it. He was in pain. I poked the bed and it didn't even move. It hurt.)

5. Re: moving
When you said your sister screamed melodramatically like that, I just pictured a scene from a video game movie sequence or something. "NOOOOOOOOooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!" XD
That's really cool that they even explained *kindof* instead of just making a magical story. It's even cooler that you were ok with it, at least moreso than others thought you'd be.
hahaha @ the boxcar children story.
I remember the boxcar children. It's a popular thing at that age, so it's funny they would psychologically pick it apart like that. I also like the use of the Gumshoe emote, because it depicts exactly how I would look if they were all, "OH MY GOD SHE'S TRAUMATIZED BECAUSE OF THE DIVORCE, THAT'S WHY SHE WROTE ABOUT ORPHANS.. and rainbows and puppies.. BUT STILL, SHE'S TRAUMATIZED OH MY GOD!" :eh?:

6. Re: childhood things
Rofl. Nice story. I wished I saved half the stuff I wrote/made/mauled as well. It would be adorable to look at nowadays. I remember when it took me awhile to grasp the concept of "city, state" in a mailing address. I live in New York, so as a kid I always heard, "New York City", so I guess I confused my city with my state. When we had to write letters in class, I put my "city" as "New York City." XD (It's not even close to my actual city name.)

7. Re: artsies
Haha. I'll try to doodle something for you sometime. :)
Yeah, I love thinking up ideas for character creation. So many possibilities, so many possible color combinations, etc. ^^

8. Re: patience
Oh, yes. I am pretty patient with certain things. But others... like HTML, I'm not. I also tried learning CSS for profiles (GaiaOnline) and I got frustrated because it's basically...
1. edit something within the CSS code
2. save, see how it looks on your profile layout
3. if it's messed up looking, edit the code again...
4. rinse and repeat until desired effect

I had to edit code and do this trial and error game for hours to get everything to align properly. Argh!

9. Re: Grammar whining
Good, I'm glad you're someone who feels strongly about it, because so do I >__>;
Here's a good community for you: http://community.livejournal.com/grammar_whores/
It's hilarious, at times.
Wow.. I never saw chatspeak in any of the papers I have to peer edit. I never thought that would be an issue, ever. Oh god.. the horror.
Your chatspeak examples in the newspapers are hilarious. Eluxshun. Ahaha. You're a genius.
I like the way your mind works. Yes, let's give them all big red Fs.. failures at life ;D

10. re: I can't think of a title for this
THANK YOU! :)
My future career will have me dealing with fellow employees, trying to create a balanced, happy atmosphere in the workplace. I suppose this thread helps me with the experience of dealing with people, so I'm not too frazzled over those sorts of experiences. :D

My brother's named Raymond. Sort of close. Raymond has all the letters of "Ryan." Heheh.
My brother's a dumbass. When I was little, he called me a loser every day. Brothers are mean.

11. Re: My friend
She's going as Sonya Blade (Mortal Kombat). For some unknown reason, if you look up Sonya Blade cosplays from Cosplay.com, there are only like, two. It's really weird, considering MK's been out for a looong time. It's not even a difficult costume.

FRIEND PLUG: She's an amazing composition major as well as voice major. She's known as Young Link and is freakin' adorable. She was actually in the Otakon masquerade last year, won 2 awards.
I videotaped it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZU-crV3tX0

Check it out! :DD She'll be performing in this year's masquerade as well, which will be in a huge stadium/auditorium.

Yes, Biblio would be easier. I may forget though ^^
Just call me Vicki. It's officially spelled Vicky but I hate that spelling compared to Vicki.

Allllll righty then. *flexes her typing fingers* I'm going to try out your style.
Spoiler: :edgy:
1. Re: Re: Moving boxes
Yeah. Kinda like regifts =D
Of course, some things made me sad, a little bit.
Like finding out that whoever moved my boxes broke or lost something.
But still. Pretty fun. Especially because now my room looks something back to normal.

2. Re: Re: kicked out
:beef: I WANT A HUT NOW.
*resolves to make a hut at some point this summer*

3: Re: Re: grossberg banner
That is the best thing. =D No, actually. It appears I've been missing out on quite a lot. :yogi: Chalk it up to my 6-month-or-so hiatus.
(Incidentally, I couldn't find a Redd White cosplay thread...I'll try again soon.)

4: Re: Re: congrats
Oh...dear. The lions can do it, I guess, but I couldn't-- sleeping on a rock, that is. At least you got the foamy things, right? My bed isn't really can-you-get-out-let's-see-on-the-next-episode-of-soft-beds-like, but it is rather bouncy.
:will:
Yes, I have bounced on it. A lot.
Oh, OUCH. I can't even imagine...a BELLY FLOP? He could have just poked it 0-0
I'm surprised this friend-of-a-friend doesn't have permanent injury =D

5: Re: Re: moving
Well, that was pretty much right. Imagine her climbing up to the top of the couch, eyes red, hair unkempt (she wasn't a big fan of hairbrushes back in the day), and throwing her arms out, head to the sky and screaming just like you said, and you've pretty much got it down pat. Afterwards, she slumped down and cried, probably with some fist-pounding. It's like they told her that one of them had just died :yuusaku:
Well, when I said they explained, kind of, I meant the generic explanation- "Oh, I'm sorry, we just don't love each other in that way any more...your dad is going to move out...we've been fighting a lot..." It wasn't fairy-taleish in the way that it included unicorns, but it was pretty fake. There was a much deeper reason for both of them getting divorced that I didn't find out until a couple of years ago, because I was looking at the divorce papers with my sister. But it's not something I really talk about in normal conversation :yogi: Ashley was more concerned about that finding than I was, too. I kinda put on my "it was in the past" mentality, while she chose to have several scream-fights with my mom about it. But again, she's the super-dramatic sort.
Yeah. I wrote a lot about orphans before then- I read a lot, and tried to emulate whatever book I had read recently, basically- and all of a sudden my parents are like, "Breanna, do you need counseling?"
Nope, that was just Ashley -__-

6: Re: Re: childhood things
:gant: I thought it was pure genius, at least. I remember I wrote it on lined paper in purple gel pen.
YES, I WAS A TRUE AUTHOR. :igarashi: -not-
Hahaha. Since it's not like my old state- Washington- had any really memorable cities (I guess there is Seattle, but I didn't live there), plus my parents were pretty clear about where we lived, I didn't have much difficulty with that. But I can imagine that. Plus, I love seeing little things from when I was a kid. I have a horrible memory, so I only remember the most random things from my childhood or some things that I can recall with provocation (like a picture, or a Christmas ornament.)
I had a little thing when I was younger about putting City, State, Country, Continent, Planet, Universe, Galaxy... or something like that. I guess I thought the post people would be confused on whether I lived on Earth or Mercury? :payne:

7: Re: Re: artsies
:edgy: Yay.
I love creating characters too...but I write about them. I used to describe their clothing- quite wordily, I might add- in whatever piece I was writing at the time. Their clothing description would end up being longer than the rest of the story :will: I think it's because I'm horrible at drawing. Especially faces. So now, whenever I doodle, I just mostly leave the faces blank :pearl: Although I do remember while I was taking a standardized test in seventh grade- I finished early, it was just a writing segment or somesuch- I was doodling on a scrap piece of paper, I drew a dress, and then I messed up on the face, so I just drew big cicle-eyes and a huge D-type mouth and gave the person spiky hair. It ended up looking something like Jack from the Nightmare before Christmas in a dress. It made me laugh, at least :payne:
Do you draw...create characters...snickerdoodle a lot?

8: Re: Re: patience
Oh, yuck. I can't stand profile HTML either- alignment and all that jazz- it's horrible. When I was making fonts, I had to try it out on the preview and mess around with some stuff- but it was mostly little things. Oh, you forgot a bracket here, oh, oops, you forgot a number in the hex symbol for a color. I look at CSS or HTML for a profile and I just go 0-0
It looks like Klingon or something. I definitely don't have the patience for that, or to memorize all of the codes, for that matter. Ashley (the older melodramatic sister; I have two or three more) did HTML for a while- she still does some, but for Facebook and stuff, I guess- and I didn't understand a word of what she wrote. Or how she could sit and do all of that.

9: Re: Re: Grammar whining
Oh, I love the title for this one. Grammar whining. Hahaha.
:edgy: I feel like we're a dying breed in this day and age. LONG LIVE THE GRAMMAR POLICE.
My sister is big on this too, except not as active. One of her 'groups'- Save the Oxford Comma. Yep. But she doesn't actually rant about it like I do. Plus, she chatspeaks while she texts on her phone occasionally. It makes me despair.
OHMYGOODNESS. That place looks like pure genius. Your cute...My cute what? =D Sounds like a bunch of me-clones.
I know. When I saw the first one I think I nearly cried. It's small things, like btw, but they still make my heart hurt. And I've given up mostly on listening to any peer editors of my papers, because they actually tell me to use worse grammar and such. "I'm sorry, I don't think lieu is a word." "Revise word choice!" "Loo...isn't a word." All pointed toward me saying something like "in lieu of". Me: :beef: *find a happy place...*
ME ELEKTID CREETIV SPELING FYNDIR OF TEH STAYT, read the headlines.
Failures at writing, at the very least ;_;

10: Re: Re: I can't think of a title for this
Haha. Well, I guess you're all set. I still have to work on quelling frazzledness when I look at my brother :yuusaku: I'm not, uh, too good at it. It'd be fun to work at your workplace though :edgy:

Brothers are mean. I don't really care when he calls me a loser- I either tell him something among the lines of, "Everyone is a loser." or "Your eloquence never fails to astound me." (To which he would respond, of course, with a gem like "Yeah, but you have NO FRIENDS." Oh, Ryan, you wound me.) When I was little, I always used to ask my mom why he was so mean, and she would tell me that it was their job and not to let it annoy me...but it does, kinda. I guess brothers just have a problem with basic human qualities, like...a conscience...when they're younger.

11: Re: Re: Your friend
I see. Maybe Cosplay.com just doesn't rein in the pictures of these particular costumes?
I watched it.
OHMYGOSH, SHE IS GOOD AT THE FLUTE.
I feel inadequate with my puny piano skills.
At least I can play the kazoo well =D

Alrighty, Vicki, then. I do have hope, though- you remembered to call Boss Velotix Velo when he dropped by, did you not? :will:

Can't wait to see Dimentia's stuff =D

Hi, Vicki.

So, I was pretty bored, when suddenly...inspiration struck!

I had to make a horrible comic!

So here it is.

Hope you like it =D

(Incidentally, it's the crying sort of sniff, okay? And if you can't tell, that'd be Redd in the picture.)

Poor Grossberg.

HAHAHAHA. I love this. I didn't get a chance to see it last night (I wanted ample time to comment on it), but man, this is a great morning-starter. XD

Oh, Grossberg. You pine for his bling.

RESPONSESSSSSSSSSSSS 2U:
Spoiler:
I just woke up and I came home 3AM from the movie (BATMAN IS FUCKING EPIC BY THE WAY!!), so I'm going to be a bit lazy with organization. I will try my best.

1. "Like finding out that whoever moved my boxes broke or lost something."
Those bitches. :| Was it ever anything important?

2. "Hut."
Me and my friends (in high school times) decided that in the future we'll be living in huts or nicely furnished cardboard boxes. :D

3. "Redd White cosplay."
It's not a thread dedicated to Redd actually ^^; sorry I wasn't making it clear. I think it's the AX2008 thread. There are awesome pictures of the PW photoshoot and there's a Redd White :D
(I just went to check and it's the Anime Expo thread, a post by Peach.)
viewtopic.php?p=655494#p655494

4. "Beds"
Haha, yeah. Us poor asian children with parents who strongly believe in hard beds. X3
I actually don't know if he had an injury or not. I hope not/don't think so, but you never know. @_@

5. "Stuff"
That's pretty deep. Yeah, that's good you have the "it's in the past" mentality instead of continuously dwelling on it or thinking it's all because of you, etc. In fact, a lot of things in life simply need to be looked upon as "it's in the past, we just have to look towards the future." It helps me cope. :D

6. "stuff 2"
Yea, I remember random places I've been to but no idea where they were. Ah, the confusing memories of childhood. XD
rofl, galaxy. That's awesome.

7. "writing.. I'm getting lazy with these titles you have to excuse me."
I admire writers. I tried to become a writer and write my own fiction thing in 7th-9th grade, but eh. I'm a decent writer nowadays, but I lack the time to think of grand, epic stories while fleshing it out with detail (I love details) and character development. Also, I can get easily frustrated if the wording doesn't sound just how I want it to be, etc.
Haha, cool. I doodle on the back of my exams too, mostly because I'm a quick exam taker so I take it for 20 minutes, and the 40 other minutes I'm sitting there like.. *snore*

I used to draw a lot. Nowadays, I just took my GRE (graduate exam) and PASSED after one failure (costs 140$ to take the exam each time). So, I've been studying hardcore for 2 months straight. That means, all my friends, etc. were like, "YAY SUMMER YAY PARTY" and I was always stuck at home, studying a goddamn wordlist.
Anyways, now that the GRE is over, I'm working on my Otakon crap (Otakon is 2 weeks away and I have nothing done. Literally, nothing done.)
OH SHIZZ I need to tell you about my cosplay plans. See, I'm a creative idea person, I'm not simply a "cosplayer" because
1. I lack the resources (money, time).
2. I am not a professional cosplayer, my career later in life will have nothing to do with costuming, prop making...
3. I'm shy and I don't enjoy camera poses where I'm in a revealing outfit of a female VG character and just strutting my stuff. Sorry, just not confident enough.

so!! What I do is I came up with an original idea for my cosplay (as well as for my good friend.. until she never credited me.) I'll let you know in the next post if you're interested.. this post is already getting long. >__>;;

8. I'm glad you like the grammarwhores community, haha. I knew you'd like it ^^
There is also: http://community.livejournal.com/mock_the_stupid/
Some posts are hilarious, some are so-so. Not much to do with grammar, but just general silliness or stupidity.
"I'm sorry, I don't think lieu is a word." Hahah.
The only chatspeak I use is "rofl" and similar variants, but rarely. "Rofl" is when something is just so hilarious, and I don't want to seem insane by going, "HAHAHAHAHhahahahaHAHAHAHAHhahah." XD

I use emotes to help clarify the tone of my sentences. It's interesting how important body language and facial expressions are, so on the internet, it's so easy to miscommunicate your thoughts, etc.
Although, emote-overkill annoys the crap out of me. I knew this one guy (stupid as... oy) who talked like this: "lol how are you?!? :D :) ^^"
WHO THE HELL USES THREE EMOTES IN A ROW LIKE THAT?!

11. Yeah, she's amazing. :D *big fan* She's adorable, too.
I can't play anything well. I can sing, but that's about it.

Haha, yeah, I remembered to call him Velo but only because he told me to call him Velo twice. I felt stupid the second time he had to correct me, so I definitely remembered this time around.

Anyway..
What's your favorite food, color, movie, book, video game? :D
Anyone lurking in this thread can answer these basic questions too ^^

I'm glad you like it :edgy:

Yay for semi-laziness!
I just woke up (@ 8:45), so I really have no excuse. Oh wellz.
Spoiler: Wheeeeee.
1. Boxes
Ummmm...kind of, I suppose. They broke my desk because they ripped it apart instead of unscrewing, but my sister had one that she didn't want anyways, so I just got her old one. They also broke off the top of a lamp that I have- that one was probably during transfer- but, well, I suppose there's always SuperGlue...and they lost four really small things. Glass ladybugs that I have, namely, because I see them as my 'symbol' (longstoryfromthirdgrade) so I collect them. Ironically, they didn't lose the even smaller one that's the size of a crumb =) This time, the main reason they made so many errors was because they did the bottom floor last, and my room's on the bottom floor, so they were getting kind of impatient by the time they moved and packed my room (I wasn't there to help pack, unfortunately, or else I would have...). At least it wasn't something REALLY important like...my books. Oh, and I also have a lot of really small things that I place around my bookshelves and such- a stuffed frog I won at a party after the Special Olympics here, a picture there, a piece of driftwood with sheep painted on it. I can imagine that it must have been frustrating.

2. Hut
Nicely furnished cardboard boxes, haha. I wasn't aware those existed =D

3. Redd White Cosplay
Wow. He is pretty blinged-up, isn't he 0-0 Sparkly.

4. Beds
Let us mourn for the children. *momentofsilence*
I hope so too, although it would make for interesting conversation...
"How did you break your back?"
"Oh, I belly flopped on a hard bed. You know how it is."
"...Actually, no, I don't really."

5. Stuff
When I need to cope, I bring up that mentality- and I'm glad it helps you too- but for small things, just purely for teasing purposes, I like to bring it up. "Hey, Ashley, remember that one time you made the other Ashley (quick note: I have two Ryans and two Ashleys in my family, one of both pair is a stepsibling) make me come in the room because she said that you had jumped out the window? Yeah, and then you gagged me and tied me up to a chair while pouring cold water down my shirt? Oh, yeah, and before when I tried to hide in the room to talk to Ashley, she told me to hide in the bathroom and I cut open my toe because there was glass in the bathtub and I had to hobble into my room after toilet-papering it up and I pretended to sleep but you came in and gave me a mustache out of mascara?
Yeah, good times."
(These are all actual events. I regret to say that, as a child, Ashley and Ashley weren't very nice to me.)
And then, of course, there are times that you TRY and put in the past and other people won't let you...I hate that. Because now whenever I get sick, my mother goes all BLAGH all over my face, just because of a certain incident that happened between the ages of 9 and 10. Trust me, this is something I would much rather not obsess about. Do things like that ever happen to you?

6. Stuff 2
Childhood is awfully confusing :sadshoe:
Yeah. I can actually remember walking up to my teacher and asking which came first, universe or galaxy. I don't think they really understood why I needed to know... :payne:

7. Writing
Unfortunately, I can only write for fun. However much I like writing, it is not one of the things that I have patience for. I'll usually write one page or so and move onto something else because I got bored with the first idea, or it was too cliche, or I simply didn't have enough time to write it and by the time I went back to it, I had forgotten why I was so fired up about that idea anyways. Plus, I love details too. Too much.
I didn't actually get to doodle on the backs of my books...I had scrap paper. The coordinators were like "DO NOT WRITE ON YOUR BOOK OTHER THAN FOR ANSWERS ON PAIN OF DEATH." But it's cool that you finish early. When I took the 8th grade standardized tests...well, there was around 2 hours for each subject, right? There was also an...approximately 15 minute break in between the first and second hour. Well, for reading comprehension or something, I finished one minute after the break. Then I had to sit for the other 59 minutes doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I had finished my book for Language Arts class, so that was null and void. It was pure torture, I assure you.
$140? Ouch. It's great that you passed this time though. Haha, "YAY SUMMER YAY PARTY" sounds like a lot of the people I know...and I'm just sitting in my bedroom looking at them...and reading.
Because I'm cool like that.
(And I'm not a big fan of parties.)
I am interested, of course! =D

8. That other one was pretty cool too =)
I wasn't laughing at the time, although it is kind of funny in retrospect. When I got back my paper, I stared at it thinking something like What? Lieu...isn't a word. Huh? Just no. OUR SOCIETY CANNOT IN GOOD FAITH RELEASE THESE PEOPLE IN TO THE WORLD, TAKING OVER ALL OF THE BUSINESSES, IF THEY TELL ME THAT LIEU IS NOT A WORD.
Yes, I overreacted a little bit. :yuusaku:
I don't really mind that when it's used sparsely. But other posts: Lol i lyk that sho lololololololol;D;D;D:(:(:(rofllllllllllllll
Those are not funny.
A while ago, I came up with my own thing like that...limhasi. Because I'm such a dork for precision that I needed a precise variant of 'lol' , so I made "Laughing In My Head And Smiling Inside".
Nobody gets it, so I mostly keep it to myself =)
I use emoticons too. Those don't bother me, really...But yeah, overkill like that is annoying. Haha. Reminds me a bit of Sal Manella in PW: AA...didn't he do that a couple of times?

11. I'm sure you can play the kazoo too. Perhaps even...the triangle!
:redd:
Singing is good too. I like to sing. By myself.

=D Well, that's why I have hope!

Answers to the questions:
Food: Uhhh. I really like fondue, haha. I also like red peppers and...well, sugarfoods.
I blame my mom, with her danged chocolatey desserts!
Color: Blue. Mostly darker blues. Especially ones that you can see in the sky at night.
Movie: This is a really hard one. Ummm. I really like Spirited Away...yep.
Book: HARDER THAN HARD. I have, like...600 books, all of which I love. Erec Rex and the Dragon's Eye is good, as well as Alcatraz Smedry versus the Evil Librarians...City of Ember is good too...Maximum Ride:The Angel Experiment...all Xanth books (technically adult, but still)...
Basically any YA fantasy, excluding the HP books and the Inheritance trilogy.
Video Game: Um...all Phoenix Wright games. I also kinda like DDR (from my "incident between ages of 9 and 10" era) and Fuzion Frenzy (from my "oh, what is this thing called XBox?" era) and...Kameo (from my "oh, XBox 360!" era.) I also like watching my brother play the Legend of Zelda games (from my eternal lack of hand-eye coordination and lack of controller skillz.) Oh, I occasionally play Animal Crossing and Cooking Mama.

Dimentia's siggy is so cute! Poor Trucy.

It's interesting that almost all of you said Spirited Away. Good taste, good taste.

Shojogirl: So, I'm guessing you like Twilight?
Partners in Time is an awesome game. Too bad it's not as popular or heard of. And yup, I like Final Fantasy as well.

Breathe:
Ha, I don't particularly like most seafood so most sushi I stay away from, but a simple california roll is yummy.
I like Animal Crossing, too. :D Have you heard that AC: City Folk will be coming for the Wii? I'm excited.

In general:
Yay, Cooking Mama fans. It's such a cute game. Makes me so hungry while playing, though. ^^

Biblio:
My favorite color is blue as well, all shades, as you can probably tell from my signature and avatar. <3
That's a whole lot of books o___o;;
I like DDR as well. I play Audition from time to time with a friend.

I'll reply more after work (have to leave in 10 minutes). :D

California rolls are definitely tasty, I'll agree. I'm so excited and happy that there's a new AC game coming out too. It's a good thing I bought a Wii for my birthday a few weeks ago. =D It's going to be a blast playing it on such a fabulous system.

Sure. I'm not too busy, as long as you don't mind waiting a few days. :) I believe you have maybe 3-4 requests ahead of you.

This request was for Minuki Wright. I spent around 2 hours on it, trying out different things, so I hope it is appreciated. >o<

Gah! I've fallen behind!

Those sigs and avis are amazing! Every time I see one of your works, I just get more and more hyped about how awesome you're going to make mine ^_^

For the cookie-one, I like the first version better. I think the second one is too... I dunno how to describe... flat? Bland? Something like that. And I think it looks better in red than purple.

And then for the other one, I think it would have looked better if happy trucy and sad trucy had been swapped... that way happy trucy would have been blocking sad trucy from her parents. But that sig is still awesome :edgy:

So now, for those generic questions...
Food: Um... I don't have a favorite food. Just every food I either like or don't like. Pretty straightforward ^_^
Color: Red is pretty neat. Of course, I'm also really squeamish. Dunno how that works out.
Book: Does manga count? Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind is amazing.
Movie: I dunno... I really like Miyazaki's works :) Nausicaa and Mononoke FTW!
Video Game: Baten Kaitos is pretty awesome. PW1 is prolly my second one, tho. I think 3-5 is my favorite case, but 1-2, 1-4, and 1-5 are my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th fav (and in that order... I MISS MIA!

...

AND HUGHES! :larry: )

Also, I command you to look at my sprite comic! It's in the sprite comic section. And it contains massive AJ spoilers... just a heads up.

Holy jeez, there's a lot of posts to reply to. Ok. *takes a deep breath and stretches fingers*

Spoiler: This response is for Biblio
Biblio: I enjoyed reading your entire post; I'm going to begin to reply to only a few things I have something to say about (you know how you just run out of interesting things to say about a particular thing? yeaa...), and try to shorten our responses, if you don't mind. ^__^
"Ashley and Ashley" - Hahaha, omg. Have you ever seen Recess (cartoon)?! There were too mean, snobbish girls named Ashley and Ashley. That's the first thing I thought of when I read your story.
"Do things like that ever happen to you?" - Uhh, well, my mother has never gone all BLAGH over my face (I enjoy this expression XD), but I'm assuming you mean things in the past that other people won't let go, etc. Let's see.. well, my parents are good about letting issues go. They're very busy themselves, which is great, since they're not in my face 24/7 about something. It did bother me when I had just broken up with my boyfriend a year ago, and my mother insisted on being like, "ARE YOU UPSET?", on a regular basis. I just told her, "Mom, it's okay, it hurts when you bring it up, so just please don't bring it up again." And she didn't, so that was that. :)
"'ll usually write one page or so and move onto something else because I got bored with the first idea, or it was too cliche.." -
I HAVE THAT GODDAMN PROBLEM TOO!!
This is why I stopped writing for fun. My best friend was a good writer, so in 7th grade it was easy to accidentally write a similar first chapter to her (I know, it's stupid, and I intentionally didn't want to.. it's hard to explain). So, it was difficult to write my own original material back then because I felt everything beyond that chapter was either from a series of books I've read or something with no future beyond it.. blargh. I also have inspirational dreams that spark the beginning of the story, but I lack ideas for character development or plot elements.
"(And I'm not a big fan of parties.)" Me either. I'm not a social person who loves partying and getting drunk, etc. You know what bothers me? When the main complaint about my college (which is a good college for its price, etc.) is that it's not a good enough "party school." Excuse me? So, the most important thing about college is parties? Right. Glad to see where your parents' money is going.
"Laughing In My Head And Smiling Inside." GENIUS!! I will have to use this sometime. :DD

"Interested" - Well, last year, I was the Final Fantasy menu. I'm not sure if you've ever played a FF game, but there's this generic blue/white menu that says "attack", "magic", etc. as commands. I simply made that on posterboard, tied a string around my neck, and wore it. XD The best part was that the hand cursor was attached to velcro and I could "select" the command I wanted.
When it was the last day of the convention and we all were in a rush to leave, I put my cursor to "run" and we ran. Ahaha, good times. ^^ I also had a battle menu (hp/mp), but that's a whole different story and I'm running out of space so I'll add it in later.
This year, I'm doing the same thing, except I'm going to also have a "parody" menu with commands such as "caramelldansen", "rickroll", etc. This is mainly for hilarity purposes and will be using it in photoshoots. I plan to actually join the Phoenix Wright photoshoot and have a silly crossover, with 3 characters on one side and 3 on the other, BATTLE STANCE.

OH and "Poor Trucy" regarding the sig: It actually made me a little sad to animate that. @_@

Thanks for all the compliments, guys. I also appreciate you taking the time to answer those questions; I primarily wanted to know all of you better and see what interests you had. :D

Spoiler: My own responses
Food: Chinese (but not so much anymore, my dad owns a Chinese restaurant and it's like.. ugh.. not again, please..), basically, anything (I like pasta :D) except seafood or mushrooms. I rarely ate seafood while I was growing up so I guess I grew somewhat of an aversion to it O__o; There's a few exceptions, but I tend to stay away from fish and lobster.
I also like french fries like the some of you. Salad's great.

Color: Blues. That's my favorite, but I really like all colors since they can be so bright and vivid or match well with others in this complementary way. This is probably from my designer instincts. xD

Movie: I just saw The Dark Knight and it was great. Iron Man was very good. I really need to see Wall-e, I heard it was adorable ^__^ I enjoyed "I am Legend" until the awful ending. Uh.. I can't remember half the movies I've watched and liked.

Book: I'll be honest, I haven't done any leisure reading in a long time. However, I enjoy many of the books assigned to us for our classes. For example, a book that talks about people deny evolution was interesting. "Red Dust" by Gillian Slovo is very good; it's about the politics of South Africa and she weaves an intricate story about the idea of "reconciliation."
Again, can't remember half the books I've read and liked. The classics: Dracula, Picture of Dorian Gray, stories by Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft.

Video Game: Team Fortress 2, Final Fantasy series in general (only played 8, 10, X-2 (oy), 12, FFTA, FFTA2), OKAMI, Phoenix Wright (played all 3 + AJ), Portal, Shadow Hearts, Elite Beat Agents, Taiko Drum Master DS, Mario Kart, Partners in Time, Raving Rabbids (it gets old after a short while, but still amusing to watch), The Longest Journey.
Right now I'm in the middle of The World Ends With You (short on time so have barely gotten past the beginning), FFTA2, and Tales of Symphonia.

Ambiance: XD I used to be addicted to Vitamin water. What's your favorite flavor? I like dragonfruit. :B
I saw my boyfriend play Fire Emblem on the GC. It looked awesome!

SuzuneAyasato: hahah, no, never "I like Mondays." Your example is cute, though. XD
I love Bruce Almighty! Such a funny movie, esp. the newscaster part and he's talking all gibberish.

Breathe: Congratulations on getting a Wii! I got mine awhile back but hardly have any games for it -- I'm trying, like half of the country, to get Wii Fit and after that, will get Mario Kart. Mario Kart is really fun. :D

Bad Player: I just do random colors for the sake of giving people options XD The red version was my first version, and I prefer that one too! :D
Hm, I know of Baten Kaitos but never played it. Yes, we all miss Mia. :(
I'll check your comic out in a bit. :) Kudos for making one!

Godot Fan-girl:
I loved Iron Man. :DD Good game choices!
I don't know my Wii code and it's a pain to hook it all up at the moment, so I'll let you know later. :)

Elriel:
Thanks!!! ^__^ Haha, I'm still very excited about never having to take it again.
Thanks about the graphics as well :D Coming from a fellow graphic artist, it means a lot.
How have you been in general?

Hey, Vicki, I changed he "basic concept" thingy I did. Now there's two versions, and I think it's a bit clearer on what I want... (I didn't want Phoenix floating in the air  )
